Syllabus outline for the year not available for all graded subjects e.g. Math and Science, yes; Geog, no. There are detailed commentaries from LA and HCL teachers for my girl in her latest Progress Report. I think you are right to expect updates.
-
I was just told by my girl that the comments by HCL and LA teachers are new additions (blur mom). So maybe yours are late? I heard from my teacher friends that Covid situation means they are working extra hours to put together online learning, hence the delay maybe…
-
Thanks we received it ! … History and Geo are blanks still. I recall there was suppose to be a parents talk on humanities… was there any slides that come after the cancellation?
-
anyone has recommendation on books or enrichment on writing ? eg. narrative writing , personal recount, how to improve on writing ?

Hi parents. I see on NYGH website that girls who enter via DSA academic domain are given many opportunities to be included in talent development programs. Does it mean that girls who enter via PSLE have less chances? Would be interested to hear from parents whose Dd enter via PSLE. Thanks for sharing.

When a program is available, the students will receive notifications to apply. For certain programs, selected students (sometimes it's the DSA students for that particular subject, sometimes it's the teacher-nominated students) will have to apply or attend the interview/ selection tests. But the programs are mostly open to all other interested students to apply as well.

Usually, it's the other way around - there are so many programs that you will have to pick and choose which ones you want to attend due to the time commitments. There's no way you can actually participate in every single domain or program, especially when school is in full flow with CCAs, projects, etc. -
May I know if anyone is able to share more on innovation domain pls? Can experience with gep IvP be counted please?
Thank you so much -

To add on, for the humanities maths and sci talent devt prgm at sec 2, it's by merit and tchrs recommendations. You could be nominated for more than 1 but sch will limit to 1 max due to time commitment.

But non DSA students will also be nominated by teachers if they meet the requirements. However, all students will have a choice of whether they want to take up the special programme.
