Hi, is the NUS waitlist send out? Anyone receive the notification? Thank you.

My son is still waiting, application processing but no email... Your child has any notice? They sent out wait lists on Monday and Wednesday, not sure about now.
Am still hoping for the best.

Did he put in other choices besides medicine in his application?

It is obviously to choose Cambridge over LKC if fees is not a problem. How many student got the chance to study in Cambridge all over the world?

                    For clinical research:

Based on QS university medicine ranking 2020:
                    Oxford (2)
                    Cambridge (3)
                    UCL (8)
                    Imperial College (10)
                    Edinburge (19)
                    King’s College (20)
                    NUS YLL (21)
                    Choose Cambridge

                    For practicing medicine locally:
NUS YLL has local advantages and wider networking.
                    Choose NUS YLL

                    For cost and ROI:
                    Cambridge 6 years
                    NUS YLL 5 years
Cambridge estimated cost $750K (tuition + accommodation)
NUS YLL estimated cost $150K (tuition)
                    Choose NUS YLL

You need to ask your child which career path he/she wants to pursue, clinical research or practising medicine.

Reputation ranking of university in medicine does not really matter so much since their medicine course is controlled by the respective health authorities/ministry to meet certain standards. Important thing is the medicine degree must be recognized by our MOH if you want to practise medicine in SG. You never know when your overseas medicine degree will become not recognized by MOH, so it carries certain risk to study in overseas.

Is Duke-NUS pre-MD pathway a good choice to be a doctor? Heard that they focus more on research. Is the MD degree the same as MBBS? Thank you.

Not true at all! Definitely there will be physical classes after the situation is over and just so you would wonder, you are paying for quality over quantity education.

My daughter is currently doing her university in Liverpool right now and there is still support rendered to the undergraduate for their classes and other helps. And it is very unfortunate that this Covid19 has robbed some of the chances in further education but there are still prospective students who wants to further their education in overseas for the experiences.

                        Think about this.
