Yes NUS YLL are good. However, a country's death rate has more to do than the standing and quality of it's med schools alone. It also have to do with the country's demography, healthcare system, policies, infrastructure, among others.

The top 10 hospitals in the world as per Newsweek's latest ranking:
1. Mayo Clinic
2. Cleveland Clinic
3. Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston)
4. Toronto General Hospital (Toronto, Canada)
5. Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin (Berlin, Germany)
6. The Johns Hopkins Hospital (Baltimore)
7. Universitätsspital Zürich (Zurich, Switzerland)
8. Singapore General Hospital (Bukit Merah, Singapore)
9. Sheba Medical Center (Ramat Gan, Israel)
10. Karolinska Universitetssjukhuset (Solna, Sweden)
Based on the list, despite having most of the top 10 hospitals in the world, US's covid-19 fatality rate is among the highest. US also have top medical research school such as Johns Hopkins but best med schools and best hospitals alone cannot keep the covid-19 fatality rate low. -
One of the key components of a healthcare system is the medical doctors and medical experts. These are the products of medical school. In US case, the politicians overwrite the medical experts!

Comparing med school ranking vis-a-vis Covid 19 death numbers without accounting for political considerations and social-cultural norms!!!

Not true at all! Definitely there will be physical classes after the situation is over and just so you would wonder, you are paying for quality over quantity education.
My daughter is currently doing her university in Liverpool right now and there is still support rendered to the undergraduate for their classes and other helps. And it is very unfortunate that this Covid19 has robbed some of the chances in further education but there are still prospective students who wants to further their education in overseas for the experiences.
Think about this.
