wow, this is going to be new norm..all wearing mask. Kiddos haven't been wearing mask/for more than 1 hour, need to slowly adapt when school reopen.

DS finds the free reusable mask too thick and suffocating. I will stock up on the disposable kind. Probably need to prepare 3 per day: change after eating recess & change after PE or when sweaty.

We are in a very good mood now after hearing the MOE press release news. Especially my extrovert boy is ultra happy at the thought of finally going back to school to see all his friends in person.

Two Chinese boys drop dead during PE lessons while wearing face masks (sudden cardiac arrest).

Not sure if our kids need to remove the masks during PE lessons[/quote]Yes supposed to remove mask during PE.

Can use face shield as alternative to mask, I suppose if child has asthma or eczema skin allergy to prolonged direct face covering.

swimming pool not allowed to be open, even after CB lifted

anything that involve mass people to gather around at the pool, not allowed
not even your own condo pool

If the reusable masks are washed frequent enough, they will thin out. I have some very thick ones, wash them in washing machine daily till they thin out sufficiently to be covered.

There are a lot of reusuable masks on sale. Maybe check them out.

              Anyone know,

for primary school ( P1 to P5 Non-graduating cohort ) students taking school bus in Term 3,

if attend alternate week "school-vs-stay-at-home-HBL" lessons,

do parents still pay one-full-month school bus fees, or

              pay half-a-month school bus fees,

              since
out of 4 weeks every month, these students effectively attend only 2-weeks-school ? Thanks

              ==============================

              Do tertiary
Polytechnic and JC1 (Non-graduating cohort) students attend poly / school everyday, or only attend on alternate week basis ?

This PE thing, going to be an issue

                1)
if remove face mask during PE,
                what's the point ?

If any student from the class is asymtomatic, display No sympton of covid externally whatsoever,

once remove face mask and start to chit chat during PE, the invisible enemy-virus float into the air, the rest of the fellow classmates will get it.
Soon, we will hear news of students behind hit by virus. Then, defeat the purpose of this arrangement of attending school on alternate week

                2)
But if wear face mask during PE, dangerous because some students may faint ....

Since either way also pose a problem, might as well forget about having PE.

We have to balance risks with benefits. There is no risk-free option which does not disrupt normal life, so some choices have to be made. Presumably PE is done in fairly well-ventilated places, and I believe the activities will be done in a way that the kids are well-spaced. Kids need physical activityfor good health, and helping them return to a semblance of normal activities is good for mental wellbeing. Coupled with the other measures and surveillance in schools, any spread should be fairly well controlled. Even before mask-wearing, etc in schools, there was little (no?) spread in schools.

If you know how, just make your own? Then you can customise the thickness. I found the 4-layer mask promoted by the ST way too thick! Even without the 4th layer, it was too uncomfortable. My family is using 2-layer masks made from pillowcase material - bearable. It's not surgical mask standard for protection, but my personal opinion is that any face covering is good enough when not in a place where the risks are high. I ran out of elastic, though, so am waiting for the shops to open so I can finish one last piece for my daughter.

I don't do treatments, but my haircut was long overdue! I had been planning to get it cut on the day the closures were announced. I just had my haircut on Monday (queued for an hour even in the early afternoon). Such a relief not to have hair on my neck.

                        just ONE

asymtomatic spreader, and the whole class can get it, whoever (classmates) is weak in immune system

                        Didn't you read report that
Covid-19 not just attack respiratory system, but other parts of vital organ body as well ?

Did you read recent report that
300+ young Malaysian children, got hit
                        ?

Do NOT undermine the seriousness & danger of covid19, to young children

Many people think that covid-19 tend to harm old people.

Reports have now shown how devastating it can be, to young children and teenagers.

Do NOT brush aside lightly, this covid-19 great harm, that can be done to a human body
