How did the staff working at Bishan mrt catch the virus? She has a family member who is a confirmed case? How did this family member catch it?
No news yet, still pending contact tracing bah...

Guess either she mingled with a virus carrier colleague (e.g. cleaners in the same station) or she came into contact with family members who are frontline workers.

I am wondering for such cases, if they caught the virus because they broke CB rules, say went to meet someone secretly (e.g. friend or relatives who work in dorms operations) would they dare to admit?

DS finds the free reusable mask too thick and suffocating. I will stock up on the disposable kind. Probably need to prepare 3 per day: change after eating recess & change after PE or when sweaty.

We are in a very good mood now after hearing the MOE press release news. Especially my extrovert boy is ultra happy at the thought of finally going back to school to see all his friends in person.
Two Chinese boys drop dead during PE lessons while wearing face masks (sudden cardiac arrest).

Not sure if our kids need to remove the masks during PE lessons
Yes supposed to remove mask during PE.

Can use face shield as alternative to mask, I suppose if child has asthma or eczema skin allergy to prolonged direct face covering.

        https://www.moe.gov.sg/news/press-releases/arrangements-for-schools-and-institutes-of-higher-learning-at-the-end-of-circuit-breaker
Thanks for the link.

If can wear face shield to school instead of face mask, i would think face shield is more comfy and airy! :rahrah:
And also cheaper too in the long run.

Which brand is good? I saw ntuc cashier wearing one this morning, way too big and the plastic is too flimsy.

I also like the face shield better. They are sold online, but do get the anti-fog ones with a sponge headgrip. I wonder where those essential workers’ kids get theirs from? Their photos were on MOE’s FB.

hmmmm… Face shields are accepted in Sch … how about in public areas, no formal notice?

the plastic layers over eyes may "blur" vision ,a bit . looks funny too ? a matter of getting used to the look

i see mall snr cleaners wear both layers face and shield - which is GOOD for them, but they r in air con areas -so not hot la

Don't think you need to wear one in the office. It's more for frontliners like teachers and flight attendants. Btw, don't laugh, I also have PPE for travelling.

For kids, parents are ''encouraged'' by MOE to get them for their kids, if that's what this MOE poster is saying.

MOE could issue every primary sch student one kid’s size face shield when they return to schools. Like those seen on MOE FB/posters.

MOE allows students to put on face shield or masks or both. No problem with that.

NTUC staff hv all been issued one face shield. This same face shield is available fr UNITY pharmacies. In SKorea, they’ve a whole range of fashionable face shield but some are not suitably designed for floating viruses prevention. Israel had a face mask designed for meal consumption without removing the masks priced ard $4 per piece, but I doubt It’ll be popular. More like troublesome & doesn’t prevent spills or drips or soiling the masks.

It’s time for creativity in midst of pandemic. That’s positivity out of some anxieties.
