I am taken back to learn that among the preschool teachers who took the swab tests, a few tested positive.

Can someone help me ask: Then in this case, primary school and sec school teachers don’t they need to be tested before 1st June too?

Am surprised with the outcome of testing of pre school teachers too.

Does this mean if we start testing schools, offices etc, we will uncover more cases?
How did these people get infected?

Did they explain why preschool staffs are subjected to swab test? Did they already suspect something?

We are already into the 7th week of CB so does it mean most of these cases are asymptomatic and the virus has been going around amongst this group undetected until now?

MOH started with FW, move on to test the vulnerable ones in nursing homes & now the pre-sch staff In prep to segregate those tested positive to protect the very young pre-schoolers once they start going back

Since it is now certain that there are asymptomatic cases around, the answer to your 1st question is most probably \"Yes\". As to how - from asymptomatic cases they came contact with, or from the (hopefully few) irresponsible ones who move around even when they know they could be infected.

It's all a question of balancing risks - to reduce spread to totally nil, the ideal would be to separate each individual completely with no contact with anyone else, just in case - but then who will import/sell/cook the food, work in hospitals, transport, other essential services, etc.? To protect all kids totally, they should be isolated as well, without contact with parents (who work or go shopping), relatives, teachers, friends - but is that worth the mental/emotional fallout, loss of education, etc?

Given that some precautions are impracticable and risks have to be taken, then the next best is to take those precautions which are easier to achieve and have fewer negative repercussions - hand hygiene, wearing masks/shields, physical distancing... this should all sound familiar.

I think it's a case of priorities and risks. Preschool teachers come in much closer contact with their students than in Pr and Sec schools, and young kids are much less likely to remember to obey precautions. So testing preschool teachers is a higher priority. I would expect that other teachers will be tested sooner or later, but the risks to themselves and students is lower, so it's probably been decided that the upsides of re-opening schools is worth the increased risk.

Hope this piece of report eases the concerns about sending their children to school in the light of the Covid-19 outbreak.

this arrangement of alternate (go to school this week, next week don't go school but stay-at-home for HBL lessons), only apply for one month, in the month of June only.
Hence, it is only temporary for June month, because

once July start, all students will have to go back school everyday unless otherwise stated, in case there is a next wave of covid come.

                        once July start,
may ask your tuition centre, whether can resume to face-to-face (FTF) classroom tuition.
Some tuition centre already informed their students that come July, will resume FTF classroom teaching
