If you look at .Zeit’s post (above), China children wear both Face shield and face mask. France primary schools too, wear them in a pair.

In SG, we can choose to wear either just a face shield or a face mask, it is safe? Later all of us choose to wear face shield w/o a mask and we get hit with a new wave of infections (again).

I have seen an auntie wearing something like a sun visor, tinted till I can’t see how her face looks like. Hubby said this should not be allowed else our CCTVs can’t trace who is who. Lol.

Our weather too hot to wear both
But I think they have done more in installing plastic partition ! I m sure we have the $ n we can do this ... but why no have neh? flustered leow

I am not suggesting we should wear both. I am just not sure if wearing just the face shield alone is enough. Especially when students need to take MRT home, so putting on surgical mask is safer than just wearing a face shield alone. So far I think nurses dare to wear surgical mask w/o a face shield inside NCID but I doubt the other way is true.

Not that we don’t have plastic partitions lah, just yet to set up bah.

Those Workers who face A lot of people daily better wear both - fair price staff wearing both n in air con - still bearable bah..
I saw unity selling kids masks now
N I bought the antimicrobial fabric one fr unity - quite cooling
U think the partitions will be in sch Soon by when sch open ?
If so , better be fast , but now no workers to do the job “ sob sob “ .. how

I’m not really into shopping (window or non). Hair coloring or cut also don’t need. The thing that I’m waiting for is phase 3 when I can finally go for a 2-hour massage. So many aches & pains tahan so long.

My idea, for when my kids and ourselves go back to uni/office is to wear masks when commuting, but shields for being in a single space for longer periods. Moving around creates more exposure, so wearing a mask offers greater protection but usually is only needed for shorter periods. In a single location, a shield maybe good enough, and contact tracing will be easier if necessary.

My list of things I need to get is getting longer! None of these are urgent, but still, I need to get them sooner or later - envelopes, watch strap, bed frame (mine has developed cracks and is creaking a lot!), foot pad for a dining chair, elastic for making more masks... I did manage to get a haircut last week, thankfully. I'm waiting for the various shops to start operating again!
