2020 P1 Registration Exercise for 2021 In-take

Hello Gurus, can anyone enlighten me pls?


My child is eligible for Phase2A(2) for Anderson Primary but distance is a problem… we stay in SK and the school is in AMK…

For Phase 2B, we are eligible for AnchorGreen, Fern Green, Springdale and Nan Chiau…

For Phase 2C, we are looking at Sengkang Green and Fernvale… Sengkang Green is the 2nd hot fav in SK and the past years have shown they are oversubscribed…

Of coz our fav is NC but we know chances are slim… However, of the remaining schools, i am not sure which schools are better in terms of academic and non-academic areas (although i have read up lots on the schools, I am still undecided)…

If you were me, how would you strategize taking into consideration I want my child to be in a school that has good CCAs, e.g. dance, badminton and robotics…

Would love to hear from your views and thank you v much in advance…

PS: I also notice that MOE has not updated any info for 2021 P1 registration… how would i know the Phase have started for registration?

Firstly, you need to ask yourself, are you keen on Anchor Green, Fern Green, Springdale, Sengkang Green and Fernvale? If yes, proceed to register them at their respective phase (either 2B or 2C) and no need to think anymore.


However, if you are only keen on NC (and SK Green), my suggestion is to register at NC for Phase 2B. If ballot, so be it. If don’t have a chance, also so be it. It’s not like you have many options anyway. With the exception of Springdale, none of the other schools will ballot in 2C, so you are free to choose them if you want to.

For SK Green, assuming you are < 1km, you can join in the ballot in Phase 2C. If you are balloted out, you can choose Fernvale (or Fern Green) as your option in 2CS.

One last question is regarding checking of statistics? I know we can check the statistics in moe website.. but when do we check it? Is it live update everyday in a fixed timing? How does checking statistics allows us to know our chances?

Phase 2A1 is for paid-up / registered alumni. You should have a letter from the alumni association or the association will have provided the school with a name list.

For old boys and girls, it’s Phase 2A2 and you will need to show documentary proof - report book or PSLE cert, etc.

MOE will only update at night. For live stats, either call the school or be in person.

1) MOE will confirm update the website around 6+pm that evening
however, this is limited info there,
eg: the number will not breakdown the no. of SC/PR

2) Some schools are kind enough to put a \"almost live\" standing white board with the status

3) calling may work - if the staff are kind and not overwhelmed with registration that day.


If you ask me, and there is a great deal at stake, perform (3) and (2)
even if there is no whiteboard, it does not hurt to politely ask.

Planning to go for Fairfield Methodist Primary but unfortunately is in the 1 to 2 km zone.

Henry Park Primary however will be within 1km.

For FMPS Phase 2C, I think can answer without wasting a trip down. It will be definitely ballot for SC within 1km.
