If that’s your plan, I don’t see why you should even register with SMPS. Going to be an unnecessary extra step and complicates matter.
Thank for replying.
I am planning to register my DD (SC)
(7-Jul ) Phase2A registration - St Margaret (3rd choice)
(4-Aug) Phase2C - Within 1km : Pasir Ris Primary (1st choice) / Casuarina Primary School (2nd choice)
Q1.) which day do i need to submit withdrawal from St Margaret? assuming vacancies/chances are good for applying Pasir Ris Primary / Casuarina after Phase2B?
Q2.) Since withdrawal is via email, do i need wait for St Margaret's confirmation email saying withdrawal is successful? Since everything is via email, no idea when is St Margaret going to reply email.
Q3.) What are the chances of DD balloting for Pasir Ris Primary. Past history always more applicants than vacancies.
Q4.) What are the chances of DD balloting for Casuarina. Some years ballot, some years no ballot.
Casuarina is definitely a shoo-in for SC < 1km. -

Thanks for the reply! Indeed North View is more convenient but in my heart i feel like trying for Huamin as i heard alot of great review. In this case, do you think if i try for Huamin and if i didn't get, then i will have chance to get North View under 2CS?
Yes you should try Huamin. Even if ballot also high chance. 2CS for North View might still have vacancies for balloting as well. Though all not guaranteed as this year we might not know the stats to switch our choices in time.
North View sure in, and most convenient, must move in by end P2Davischew\" post_id=\"1978604\" time=\"1590837947\" user_id=\"132882:
Hi, i need some advice here. My girl is a SC and eligible to register in phase 2C only.
Using my current address, within 1km
ChongFu Pri School
Using my future address (bto), within 1km
Huamin Pri Sch
North view Pri Sch
Using my parent's address as caregiver, within 1km
Jiemin Pri Sch
All the above address, between 1-2km is Northland Pri Sch. I don't think we got chance to ballot for Northland. Anyone got advice on which one should i go for? Chongfu seems like a impossible option too.

Pasir Ris Primary is not confirmed a shoo-in for SC < 1km?

Missus still prefer SMPS, as it is affliated to St Margaret Secondary. But we stay in Pasir Ris. Going to be tough for DD travelling to SMPS (6yrs) + secondary (4 yrs). -

Hence, if you have decided that you want to join in the ballot for Pasir Ris (or if you want the safe option of Casurina), no need to complicate matters with registration / withdrawal for SMPS. -

In case anyone is considering the “withdrawal method” this year, the online registration system allows you to withdraw online, don’t need to email the school.
The only “difficult” thing is your spouse must subsequently login with their SingPass within the whatever time limit, in order to authorize the withdrawal.
This is similar to the same process for submitting the registration, so you would both already be familiar with this spouse double login thingy.
I suggest people go look at MOE’s FAQ website to familiarize themselves with this year’s online registration system.
In particular, if your NRIC address had been changed after a certain cut off date (go see FAQ), the SingPass system will not have this latest address in its database. U will need to submit your registration via a special online form that will be made available. Don’t blur blur use the wrong method as the distance category could be totally different from what u want.
And the FAQ provides the usual links to the pages that will be updated at the end of the day + at the end of the entire phase (which schools will be balloting). I see no indication at all that there will be any “live” data stream or even any (hourly) updates before the close of the day.
So be prepared that you can’t know the latest number in order to make a last-minute decision. -

How do I know that my online registration on the Primary One Internet System (P1-IS) has been withdrawn successfully?
Answer:
To complete withdrawal online, both parents are required to login to Primary One Internet System (P1-IS) to submit the withdrawal. -
During phase2C registration - I assume there is no way to check the live status
1.) how many applicants
2.) breakdowns into SC/PR
3.) breakdowns into within 1km/ 1-2km and outside 2km
for parents to judge the chances of balloting? -
That’s what I assume too. Very likely we won’t know until the actual registration phases start. We’ll be counting on the phase 2A1 parents to tell us here on KSP, whether they can see any “live” counter inside the registration website/form.

can elaborate more?
Since registration is via MOE online portal. Shouldn't only MOE staff know live status?
