So you are talking about PLMGS. Since the numbers are the same.p0o9i8\" post_id=\"1978864\" time=\"1590981701\" user_id=\"65485:[quote=p0o9i8 post_id=1978864 time=1590981701 user_id=65485]Hi, I recently checked out the location of MGS and its favorable to my house, then my 1st choice (RGPS) But by 2C, its est 130% oversubscribed based on ELite stats
Vacancy for Phase 2C\t88\t69\t90
No. Reg for Phase 2C\t108\t93\t116
Im keen to enrol my girl as there is affiliation, though for 2026 PSLE, the scores are changed. RGPS has no affiliation and MGS affiliation for MGS Sec is beneficial to her. I am unfamiliar with MGS school culture. But as an old girl RGPS, I find RGPS to be highly stressful and competitive, not to mention current distance is a headache.
I am considering trying out 2C MGS, forgoing RGPS. Can anyone throw in any advice for me? -
m i mistaken that in 2C, the chances for ballot lies in priority by distance? Given my house more than 2km away, not a chance for me to ballot at 2C then
-
whats the criteria for 2C balloting for PLMGS, I want to understand this

Both PLMGS (another thread) and MGS (which is what this thread is about) are out for you. -

From Boon Keng ( your house) to either PLMGS or MGS, both exceeded 2 km. Both schools, no chance for SC > 2 km, to ballot

Either choose St Margaret (2C) , or stick back to Rgps (2A1) -
thanks for the advice!

Can I just confirm here - what is the MGS COP for affiliation? I’ve heard both 220 and 230.

220.

Refer to MOE SIS,
Aggregate range of 2019 Primary 6 students posted to 2020 Secondary 1
Affiliation (Lower) 220
I do not think they will change it this year (final year of PSLE TScore) as COP 220 has been used for the past few years. But do call the school if you need to confirm.
All the best!
