If you are referring to using Leadership role as route for DSA into secondary school, then it is more stringent. For students who went through this route (from my personal experience and observation), they are at least holding one of these position in their primary schools from P5 & 6 : prefects, CCA leader, monitors. In fact, most of them are head prefects or at least holding the position in head committee. I attended a few Secondary schools open houses for DSA talks and that was I heard from the principals.

May I know why RGPS’ ranking has dropped by so much? I am an old girl. It’s disheartening to see RGPS ranking go down the drain. Is it because PSLE results are not good now?

What ranking? They haven't had that... since 1969.

I have 2 girls from RGPS - one is now in Yr 3 in RGS and one in P4 this yr. During my elder one who graduated in 2017, RGPS has achieved 50.17% of pupils scored 250 above, with 13.62% achieving 4 A*. Subsequent years, I did not have any information on RGPS’s performance. But based on the number of RGPS girls entering RGS for the last 3 years, I believe RGPS is still doing well. Of course I really do not know if there is any "ranking" as schools no longer publish such statistics. Rest assure RGPS is and will still be a good school - not just about academic performance but on holistic development of the girls. Just my personal view.

                Yes,
go by individual 2021 P1 classes.

                1)
After you have enrolled your daughter successfully into Rgps, and

                2)
After Rgps school have allocated the name of a Primary 1 class for your daughter, after the whole P1 registration exercise is over, then you join.

There will be a parents rep in charge of each P1 class, to invite other parents to join the same class whatsapp chat group. Parents rep themselves, can be

                - from Phase 2A1 (alumni member), or

                - from 2A2 (ex or former Rgps students themselves, several years ago) or

                - from 2B (parent volunteer, inside Rgps)

Hi parents, I understand that most schools, the students will change class when they go P3 and also P5. Any idea how they ‘re-organize’ their respective classes in rgps? Is it base on index numbers or results etc? I know some school, the 1st two classes are top students in the cohort. Just curious how rgps does the classification. Any feedback will be great.

I’m considering to apply my child into the school for next year P1. Any parent here can kindly share information on the school hours, school culture etc? She has a happy-go-lucky attitude, will there be lots of homework even in the pri 1 and 2. Thank you
