      NTU: 144 ???

I can’t even find NTU medicine in QS ranking!!!
NTU: 144 is under “Life Sciences and Medicine” category, but not “Medicine” category.

NUS medicine (NUS: 21) is the only one ranked in “Medicine” category from Singapore.

It will probably take NTU medicine sometimes to be ranked in QS “Medicine”.

There is luck called 2nd chance. Your son is now serving NS , he can apply next year , or 3rd chance in year 2022.
My son also did not get a spot in local university last year .He almost cry last year and sad the whole year, and bobian to work harder. Then he got double offers this year through 2nd chance. Can set him as an example
        Hi, peterfamily,
Congrats to your son. And yes, not gonna allow this rejection to dampen the child’s dream. We will try next year again. But can you please enlighten me on how to work harder?

LKC can reduce the school fee, once it takes in more students, like YLL.
          Heard LKC got such planning

          Really?? that's new to me

Vice dean mentioned it at LKC Webinar that YLL fees will increase gradually to be almost the same as LKC.

It also new story to me. Agreed it might happen, LKC facility not limited only to 150 students per year.

the present 500 students intake among the 3 schools can have the new slot proportion ? And make the 2 school fee not much different.
Since Imperial London can take 360 medicine students per year ?

but this wont take effect from this year right?

Not this year but in subsequent years, in the near future.

2020 medicine subject world Ranking by QS :

                  NUS : 21
                  NTU : 144

NUS university medicine subject rankings is much better than NTU。Majority likely want to choose YLL.

LKC waitlists seem have good chance to move more
This is the wrong ranking. The QS Life Science and Medicine category actually refers to NTU SBS Biological science course, rather than NTU LKC. This is because LKC is still too new to be ranked. In order for a medical school to be ranked, it needs to produce enough doctors. Currently LKC only has few batches graduated, so not enough doctors have graduated yet. Thus, it is not yet ranked.

                  For e.g. to compare category
QS ranking for NUS Medicine: 21
QS ranking for NUS Life Science and Medicine: 25 (this refers to NUS Life Science course)
QS ranking for NTU Life Science and Medicine: 144 (this refers to NTU Biological science course)
QS ranking for NTU Medicine: not yet ranked (NTU LKC does not appear in this category yet)

                  Hope this clarify any doubt

                    Peterfamily,

I do not see NTU Medical school being ranked as 144 anywhere in QS ranking. Where is it? Please show it to us.

It seems like you have in many attempts, deliberately badmouth LKC with fake news that LKC accepts international students etc whileas YLL does not. You also deliberately post that LKC TBL is home based learning etc
And now you posted that LKC is ranked 144.

I am glad some earlier writers have clarified LKC system and dismissed all the fake information that you posted again and again about LKC.

This platform serves to support parents and maybe for some students who are seeking information and encouragement.

I hope you will adopt this attitude and not continue to spread fake news about LKC. If you are not sure, please do not write falsified information about LKC.

However, NUS doctor=NTU doctor .All qualify doctor, all same same.

If u apply SGH they don’t care where you come from and same salary. If you open your own clinic who care ?

When you go see doctor clinic did you see which university he came from ?

Same all qualify doctor, especially in Singapore.

                      If India doctor then different.
                      Peterfamily,

You are very biased and judgemental in your views. Please do not make such sweeping generalisation on a public platform. There are many indian doctors who do very well in our hospital systems.

There are also many YLL doctors who do not perform and who are unethical and they are highlighted in our newspapers. I am sure you must have read about them.
