I just found out about this: watch some Shakespeare plays free on Youtube.

        Romeo & Juliet (20 April- 3 May)
A Midsummer Nights Dream (4-17 May)
        The Two Noble Kinsmen (18-31May)
        The Winters Tale (1-14 June)
The Merry Wives of Windsor (15-28 June)

Literature requires a lot of self-study on your child’s part. A lot different from the science subjects

Surely you study the subject, not exam questions? I don't have experience of History, but for Geography, which I coached my daughter in, I made sure she learned the subject content first, then used the exam questions to help learn how to present her knowledge for the purposes of answering. I think History (and most subjects) should be pretty much the same?

Coz different schools use different Literature text. Suggest you focus on the Literature tools and techniques which can then be applied across any text and question types.

If you are looking for reference books, \"Mining for Meaning\" by Suzanne Choo is useful.

I think so! I would also recommend it to those who are doing triple science. That's what we told our daughter when she was selecting subjects for Y3 - it provides a good rounding out of education. History would be fine too, but Geog is a bit too much like a science in many ways to provide that kind of balance. We might not have recommended it if we knew she would dislike it, or would really struggle. But since she is a reader, and was doing Drama as CCA, we told her that she should take Lit rather than Geog since she didn't want to take History.
