I believe zoe tay's son also went to Henry Park, her husband is alumni.. Wow 270 sbove! :rahrah: :rahrah:

Thats why sometimes these impressive pri schools are better than affiliated full schools, they are able to produce such impressive scores and have even better options in secondary!

        But ricedoll,

        somewhere along the way,
Zoe Tay had transferred her son out from Henry Park primary, into Nanyang primary.

        also,
it is all over the news that since 2017, Zoe Tay's children had attended the Learning lab.
In fact, Zoe Tay is a passionate supporter of \"The Learning Lab\"

        question is,
how much of her son's 270 come from receiving tuition from the Learning lab, and
how much of her son's learning is attributed to school teachers' teaching at Henry Park primary,

this part, can someone please explain, how to quantify, huh ?

          Thanks PHTTHP,

Appreciated, i now have a better understanding.
          also, dont forget that

inside Henry Park primary P6 level, there are Total 9 P6 classes
          source of reference

          https://henryparkpri.moe.edu.sg/about-us/staff/2020-teachers

out of these Total 9 classes,

only one is a GEP class

The balance of 8 classes, are Mainstream

1 Mainstream class : Total around 40 students

          Hence, total 8 Mainstream classes 8 x 40, equal 320 P6 students

in contrast, that single GEP class, only around 30 students, or even less

assuming 30 students inside GEP class,
          Total # P6 students, equal 320 plus 30, equal 350 P6 students

if you look at Henry Park overall P6 students' PSLE results,
          because only 1 GEP class,
vs 8 Mainstream classes, so many

overall, performed within \" average \" standard

compared to past years, when Henry park had more than 1 GEP classes back then, in those days, they did better

Wow i didnt know that. all i remembered was she tried to do PV and didnt go ahead with NYPS, surprised she changed to NY after getting into HPPS as i think HPPS is a very good school too. Any idea where her kids end up choosing for secondary school? like Hwa Chong, RI?

The Learning Lab is a tuition center? Is she sponsored? Or she giving reviews cos she really got good results from it? Never heard of it until you mentioned it here today.

              Hi!

Wondering if anyone here applied for PV and got it? Just wondering if anyone has an idea of what HPPS looks at in choosing PVs since they usually don’t accept many?

Also does the distance (within 1km/2km or more) affect the chances of being accepted to do PV?

              Thanks!

I'm wondering the same. Waiting to hear any news. Rejection or acceptance so we can move on.

Hi all, have secured a place via 2A1 for enrollment in 2021. Hope to see more fellow parents here! This will be an exceptional year given COVID-19, not sure if there will still be orientation this year …

Any recommendations for student care other than pro teach?

Hi, I will be registering my son for the year 2022. We can only register in phase 2C onwards. Would like to know the chances of getting in? We’re living in Clementi about 1.7km radius from the school. The last time I checked, there is no information about PV.
