I know maybe all parents here bored with this kind of questions. But i really feels like its no hope for me to choose primary schools for my boy
Want to try for HIPS under phase 2B
(By church) but im live within 1-2km, sure ballot. And maris stella also no hope i think. So my choice is only Xing hua? Any better plan please? Thank you so much all parents

I believe I saw your post in another FB group... I won't say it's \"no hope\" cos HIPS may or may not ballot for 1-2km in 2B, and MSSP oftentimes no balloting for 1-2km. Agree with Prof Lexy above to decide after 2A2 number. Understand you have another girl to consider, is easier if both go to HIPS, but you still have PLMGS within 1km.

Oh haha, so they update all only at the end of registration phase? Thought they will update like today number and tomorrow another number. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Nope, thats why i think parents in 2B and 2C will just be flying blind as no end of day updates at all.
Also not to forget that the online form deadline is one day after the online system, so those results will not be apparent to those using the system

to summarize: you will not know how many people are applying for your school. So better to play it safe (specially for those school which have only like 2x vacancies in 2B/2C)

Hello ! From a desperate mommy here who cant decide , thus seeking help here .:)

My kid qualifies for phrase 2A2 of Pei Chun , but its 13km away from our house.. Next option will be Henry Park in 2c. Within 1 km, but sure need to ballot... The last option will be Bukit Timah primary school .. Which option will you take if you were me ? Also , anyone knows if henry park or pei chun is a better school ?

Many many thanks for the advice.

Better school or otherwise, wonโ€™t matter if you canโ€™t get in. HPPS will likely have 20+ Vacancies for 2C only. The odds are typically quite low. You need to ask yourself whether you are comfortable with BTPS for the next 6 years.

Every family / case is unique. Only you can answer and decide based on your circumstances.

My suggestion is not to get preoccupied with the physical distance. You can consider the logistics, how easy is it to get to school? Are you using private or public transport? School bus? Is there direct public transport (PCPS will most likely necessitate a change at Toa Payoh Interchange)? Sometimes, the actual time taken may not be that bad for the school thatโ€™s further away.

                      Hello,

Anyone knows the probability of getting the 1st kid into the desired primary school if you 2nd kid managed to get in ?
Like do the school increase class size in P3 so there are more students ?

                      Mnay thanks !

Thank you so much ! Noted on your suggestion .. Makes sense ๐Ÿ™‚ So my hubby will be sending the kid and my parents picking him up .. Not too bad, but just afraid its too tiring for the old folks .. No school bus for now in my area .. haha.. Too far
