Every family / case is unique. Only you can answer and decide based on your circumstances.

My suggestion is not to get preoccupied with the physical distance. You can consider the logistics, how easy is it to get to school? Are you using private or public transport? School bus? Is there direct public transport (PCPS will most likely necessitate a change at Toa Payoh Interchange)? Sometimes, the actual time taken may not be that bad for the school thatโ€™s further away.

Thank you so much ! Noted on your suggestion .. Makes sense ๐Ÿ™‚ So my hubby will be sending the kid and my parents picking him up .. Not too bad, but just afraid its too tiring for the old folks .. No school bus for now in my area .. haha.. Too far

Anyway for you, you only have 1 choice in 2A2, just go ahead and try out. If you can the spot (with or without balloting) then you can decide between the two.

Day 1 2A2 numbers are up on MOE
Thanks so much ! I guess the decision is quite clear after phrase 2a2 is out

At the moment MC look safe for 2Cs. your <1km of RG 2C looks fair safe as well, despite the increased take up.

Not sure if this has been said before, but I would like to share a general observation. It seems, in the spirit of helping parents make a (relatively) informed decision, MOE personnel have been providing updated numbers on the MOE website at the end of day 1 of every phase. So for instance, for Phase 2A(2), there was an update at the end of the day on 14th July. After that, the next update at the end of day 2 comes a few days later, simply because the phase ends at after day 2 anyway, so there's no hurry.

If that holds for the rest of the registration phase, parents applying in 2B and who are deliberating between schools, can expect an update of numbers at the end of day 1 on 23rd July. They can then still proceed to submit their 2B application on the night of 23rd July, or on 24th July till 4:30pm.

Still better than nothing, for those who work on updates ๐Ÿ™‚ all the best, everyone!

Itโ€™s the same as nothing, useless if no distance breakdown. Worst if most applicants apply on last day and you have a false hope of low applications till last day.

If we were to call the school to check the applicants distance and etc. Are they likely to reveal?

The school will know how many applicants today for phase 2A2? Or only the MOE will know?
