Hi all,
Any parents staying in Woodlands area? Would like to ask which school is better in Woodlands area?
- Innova Primary School
- Woodgrove Primary School
Any other recommendation?
Thanks alot. -
Yes i totally agree on the false hope for the update on low numbers For day 1 and ended up people who are waiting for updates will swing towards the school with lower numbers and causing it to swing up!

Super dead thread. Just like GE, everyone already decided and just need to follow through

Ya anyway every school a good school. After parents get their kids into whichever school, basically disappear for the next 3 years and zero reviews becos no exams anyway. Honeymoon for next 3 years. No complaints no love for the school either.

Hello so this is the result today for 2a2,left with 49 slots, does it final? And for 2b and 2c,is it 40+49 or only 49?
i think you may have mistaken the \"no hope\" chance. At the moment, HIP vacancies sit in between 2018 and 2019 (not as bad as 2018 but lesser than 2019) 2018 need balloting for 1-2km whilst 2019 is balloting for >2km, so this year roughly in between, meaning balloting for 1-2km but with better odds for 1-2km folks.Ria kur\" post_id=\"1985598\" time=\"1594664675\" user_id=\"186891:
I know maybe all parents here bored with this kind of questions. But i really feels like its no hope for me to choose primary schools for my boy
Want to try for HIPS under phase 2B
(By church) but im live within 1-2km, sure ballot. And maris stella also no hope i think. So my choice is only Xing hua? Any better plan please? Thank you so much all parents

for MSHS, right at the moment, i think you stand a good chance of getting in without ballot as you are within 2km of the school. Applicant number so far also sit between 2018 and 2019 but the 2018 only need balloting for >2km folks.
I am not sure your risk profile, so you have to ask yourself.
As for your back up plan. i think Monfort should be a natural backup in 2C for you.
Its still better to wait for 2A2 to confirm the numbers before more clarity. if you dont mind reminding me (just in case i forget), i can relook at the numbers after 2A2 is done.
Thank you so much

https://postimg.cc/sQ7yvBbH
The vacancies left for next phase 2B is phase 2A2 total vacancies left minus number of applicant (in this case not final cox MOE havent update the day 2 number). Left over number will be divided equally between 2B and 2C. For example, if the total vacancies left for phase 2A2 minus the number of applicant is 50. Then it will be 25 for phase 2B and 25 for phase 2C. So phase 2B will start with total vacancies 25+20. Hope this clarifies. -
Hi everyone, my daughter is born 2014 and PR, we live in Ocean Park (siglap). We were thinking for Opera Estate (1-2km) but with the cap in PR it will be very difficult. Our other options are a) Haig Girl (1-2 km): I heard holistic approach and relaxed but school bus pick up will be quite early (6:40) or b) Ngee Ann (0-1km): few of my daughter friends from kindy are going there but I heard is quite academic and competitve (for PR standard maybe not for local
) .
So what you recommend (assuming we have a good chance for both - which is yet to be confirmed): would you go to a super near school (walking distance) where your kiddo have friends but might me stressful or a more far but more relaxed? I do not want CHIJ Convent school because I am jewish and I want to avoid a religious school (even if I know that there are many people from different religion but I feel odd that my daughter will have do do something different all the time). Any wise advice? What do you think of both schools? Also as PR what would be my chance for 2C in both? -
