Thank you Desmond... I wish you and your son all the best.
Hi! Friends in this chat,
Has gotten an email from LKCSoM today at around 4.30pm. My son was not among those waitlisted applicants offered a place in the MBBS programme.
Finally can look forward and relax now. My son has given his very best and will not be considering for a 2nd try. He will be looking forward to studying the course for Biological Sciences at NTU. He can still pursue medicine at Duke-Nus after graduating if he still has the burning passion.
You all are my wonderful friends. Thank you for the thought, support and encouragement. It has been a great experience sharing and learning from you all.
Love you all and God bless...[/quote] -

Hi all,
I saw in 2019 application for nus/ntu medicine application forum that the RI acceptance rate to nus yll school is 35% while HCI is 20%. Does it mean that the recent years for RI acceptance rate is no longer 50%? -

I believe there are much fewer RI, HCI students in the 2020 NUS YLL cohort. MOE wants diversity in the cohort. So opportunities are given to those in neighbourhood JCs, poly, NUSH, IB. It has shifted away from favouring RI/HCI in the cohort unlike in previous years.

NTU admission includes BMAT as an important selection criteria which means only those with good BMAT are selected for interviews. So naturally there is a higher % of RI, HCI in NTU LKC than NUS YLL.
