Hi, I’m pretty new here.


I’m just wondering if it’s possible to serve my RC I’m currently residing , however, it’s a different RC where the school is and I’m gonna relocated there as well.

It's ok. As long as the residence and school belongs to the same GRC/SMC. Doesn't matter where you serve.

I submitted my application to serve my RC/NC where I am residing through the Community Centre Office since February this year, but have yet to receive any updates from them. May I know if I am doing it correctly to submit my application through CC and wait for news?

Yes due to current situation it might take longer. No harm visiting them to ask again. Maybe get a contact email.

I just called and the office told me I'm in the queue, but can't tell when will be my turn. For 2 years appointment, I probably need to join before May 2021. Any suggestions?

You can't join before May 2021 as you need to be observer for quite a number of months. Some say 6 months, mine is 11 months before becoming EM.

Hi! Does any know if the new election border will affect our letter? Just realised that both the school and my address was changed from a GRC to SMC based on new election border update, however the letter was based on pre-election constituency.

Anybody have any knowledge about this? Like 2016, registration will be based on pre-election boundary. Will this year be the same?

I am caught the same situation as you. Newly updated from my RC that this year will follow the pre-election border. Maybe you can check on your side too.

When you apply for letter on grassroots connect there was a link that list all the schools in the Constituency for 2020 (pre-election), that is the list to follow.
