thanks Davischew... if you were i, would u withdraw from nc and register to the next bets choice?
So far TUR quite low at 52%, you might have a good chance to ballot 1-2km or even balloting only for >2km.
If me, i would stay put. Might see a rainbow 😄

sorry forgot to add.. would u advise to register on 1st day for NC or observe the no of vacancy for day 2 and register... i noted alot of parents also will wait till day 2 to register hence the figure for day 1 may not be accurate..
tmr is fri, all the more parents will more likely take leave to register..
Was swamped today, wanted to reply when i saw your message but couldnt and then had a hard time to find your messages. 😉
The funny logic is low number doesn't necessarily be good and high number doesn't necessarily be bad.

It is not everyone's nature to go in with balloting in mind. Some take it very well, while some like have a very prolonged bad dream.

Assuming numbers stay the same, my guess is most likely ballot 1-2km. However, I do expect the numbers to increase substantially on the last day (today).

Most Phase 2B applicants to NC are from SHHK. They can only pick one school and SHHK recommendation is fixed to that school. SHHK has also made the recommendation criteria fairly transparent now. Gone is the iffy “length of membership” priority, now it’s minimum 2 years tenure and 80hrs volunteer. As such, a lot easier for most people to meet.

I suspect majority of applicants would be within 2km (Sengkang / Punggol / Hougang). If you have the appetite for destruction, welcome to the jungle, hang around and join in the ballot.

Yup. Just need to Get In The Ring and wait. Nonetheless, if you didn’t succeed in the ballot, Don’t Cry, and don’t Breakdown. Focus on Phase 2C, and everything will be So Fine.

Good luck Sweet Child O’ Mine.

let say if i stay put at nc for phase 2b and not got in, do i have a confirmed chance at springdale at phase 2c?
based on the replies above, i gather that i still have a shot at NC... actually i dun mind the shot at nc as long as my next best choice which is springdale is secured at phase 2c...

maybe we are not very sure of your situation, are you eligible for 2B at SD? If you are only eligible for NC at 2B and SD at 2C, really no harm trying.

If you are eligible for SD at 2B instead, the odds for NC for your distance is not high. and for 2C, it seems that SD will be full at 2C (odds should be quite good though for within 1km), cannot see a good trend example ferngreen is available at 2C in 2018 is 270+, this year is 100.

You are the king la, nowadays i dont dare to give a confirm chop sure comment. Anyway, if everything equal in terms of (overall) vacancies available for this year and next, its gg to be very tough next year (upgrade version of the intensity)

I can apply sd and nc under phase 2b and I have register nc under phase 2b yesterday…

when I see the stats for nc, I went hysterical coz I was afraid I lost my chance at my 2nd choice school, i.e. sd as I worried if I apply under phase 2c for sd, I may not get it… for both sd and nc, I am within 1-2km…

so I am now stuck here, whether I should withdraw nc and re-apply sd under phase 2b as i am v afraid I cannot get into sd under phase 2c… I don’t mind taking a shot at nc under phase 2b if I know I will confirm get in sd under phase 2c…

why I am so worried is bc, I scare both of my options will be gone if on hindsight, I should just apply sd under phase 2b… Would I stand a chance at springdale for phase 2c?

Could anyone help explain how was the take-up rate of 52% derived for 82 applicants compared to 70 vacancies? not very sure how TUR can help parents in planning blur
