Yes true very limited property. And i will need to rent first as i cant sell my property yet. Mayb the plan will be within 1km to ats and marymount convent at 2cs. Is quite troublesome as will need to change the preschool too. I wonder are there other ways. Quite a headache.

If you don't want too much trouble, just stay put, ATS not 100% need balloting at 2A2, you might go in without ballot. That is if you not DIE DIE want ATS. 2CS you might consider CHIJ OLN (if 1-2km), or even >2km at CHIJ OLGC (good chance usually). 2CS still at MCS, and by that time, you can choose any property after your MOP.

Oh i thought 2A2 will take into considerations of distance too. Like this year only 7 places left. If i m more than 2km most likely is no chance for that 7 place? As for 2cs i can still choose mcs if my registered address still at sengkang? If i choose chij olgc, my no 2 to 4 i apply for alumni i will have issue on the logistics if they get in and my first one at chij olgc.

So that's why i suggest if you not DIE DIE must go ATS. Since you have 1 to 4, probably just move will do

Yes MCS can apply from anywhere.

Hi jojoilo,
Phase 2A2 comes first. Since u have no other school at 2A2, just submit your application. Whether u get to ballot or not, it’s not in your hands anyway. If u get to ballot, maybe lucky can win the seat. Good for all 4 kids.
If unlucky don’t win the seat, then move on to phase 2C. U can pick either OLGC or MCS, whichever is nearer your house. Most likely she will have to take school bus, unless you are able to fetch her daily while your younger ones are with another caregiver at home.
But if you have any boys (not mentioned), just pick a nearest school in Sengkang. For convenience of all your kids. Since u already said logistics for 2 schools is not manageable. -
Ok got it thanks for the advice. Yes i do have 1 boy. We have the intention to shift to ats n mcs area prob when the elder enter p1 depending on which school. Next year will be a bit rush plus she is in the middle of k2 might be disruptive for my girl.

We may not be able to assess how disruptive it may be. Since your number 1 is under 2A2 and the rest will be 2A1, in order to increase the chance, is it better to move by next year rather than sticking to current location and travel to ATS or MC then try to transfer her over? Is the latter not disruptive? Your other children will also need to move nevertheless mid way of their Kindergarten years if you intend to move.

I won’t vouch that moving within 1km if ATS will guarantee you a place for 2A2 but based on game plan (really depends on how many in phase 1 and 2A1 next year) at the very least you are eligible to apply 2A2 and 2C at ATS.
There is no perfect situation. You weigh the pros and cons and decide then. -
Yes thanks alot for the pointers and advice. Alot clearer on hw the system works. 😊

Read that MOE would require you to stay at your registration address for the next 30 months after registration. How about before registration? Is there any time frame too?

From MOE FAQ
Read that MOE would require you to stay at your registration address for the next 30 months after registration. How about before registration? Is there any time frame too?
How is the 30 months stay requirement period applicable to my child’s P1 registration?
Answer:
A child who gains priority admission into a school through his/her distance category is required to reside at the address used for registration for at least 30 months from the commencement of the annual P1 Registration Exercise on 1 July 2020. If this condition is not met, MOE reserves the right to transfer the child to another school with vacancies, as the priority admission to the first school was based on the declared address used for registration.
When is the 30 months stay requirement applied from?
Answer:
The 30 months stay requirement is strictly applied from the point of P1 registration onwards. For example, in the 2020 P1 Registration Exercise, the 30 months requirement starts from the commencement of the P1 Registration Exercise on 1 July 2020.
