I will be registering my kid in 2022.
My preference ..after reading all the kind advice given here is..
Ballot in phase 2b then pray hard.
If fails... Ballot in phase 2c and pray hard.
If not .. I will go to the school we identified for 2s 😅

Life is already stressful enuf. With covid likely to be here for the next 2 years

I'm registering my kid in 2021 (SG50 baby) and I'm like :yikes: at the registration this year. It's gonna be rough.

Me too in 2021. It looks like gonna be very similar to this year. Same same ~37k children.

            To date:
54 applicants for 26 vacancies. Numbers suggest it’s going to be ballot for SC < 1km this year.

I thought Poi Ching is the next sought after school in Tampines after St Hildas. Can someone share why is there no balloting required in phase 2b? Is the school very stringent on PV selection and control the number really well? How’s the PSLE results so far? Are they considered better than the average sch?

NYPS ballots <1km every year. No chance for you.

FMPS ballots <1km every year in recent history. No chance for you either.

RGPS usually ballots >2km every year. If u want to apply, low chance. If your 2CS backup still has plenteous vacancies, then no harm trying, even if disqualified.

Henry Park also ballots <1km every single year.

If u want a girls school with affiliation, can consider St Margaret’s Primary, >2km good chance of a confirmed seat there.

They seem quite stringent on PV - actually this is the trend for many schools nowadays. St Hilda's got church members joining at 2B so numbers definitely will be higher.
