I just realise that for those with address different from NRIC cannot use P1-IS system and have to use online form. The registration date is from 4-7 Aug, which is 1 day later than those using P1-IS system (3-6 Aug).

Hi. Not sure if this has been asked. Anyone knows how long does it take for them system to process the declaration of caregiver’s address?
We only submitted this last week as we were undecided (our house is within 2km but caregiver’s is within 1km). Tried to register for our child today (Phase 2C). Just realised we still have to wait for an approval email to notify us that the caregiver’s address is successful.
So now we’re thinking to wait for caregiver’s application approval or just submit using our home address. -

So no point. Just use your address which is same, 1-2km. -

Oh thanks for that. I have always had the impression that it’ll be treated according to caregiver’s address. Will just submit based on ours then! -
we are using a caregiver’s address it will be considered as 1-2km even if we are within 1km.
Don’t anyone find this rule completely ridiculous and makes no sense?
It’s totally unfair and illogical. it’s like calling an Apple an orange. Not sure why it exists in the first place, really lack of common sense on MOE’s part. -

It's in place to stop the abuse of caregiver's address, and use that to ballot those already hot <1km schools. If can use <1km, lots of parents will be using regardless of real care anot.

Nope that doesn’t make sense. It’s already stated that the child has to stay at the caregiver’s place. So if the child is being taken care of by the caregiver, and the distance is within 1km how can it be magically changed to 1-2km.
You guys totally don’t get this don’t you. This is a lack of common sense and totally unfair.
No diff from Moe saying 1+1=3 and expecting us to accept it.
How it should be is, if it’s abused then deal out punishment. Instead of making it unfair for everyone right from the start.
Are you Suggesting to put all Nus male students in jail to prevent them from becoming sexual predators? -

Child doesn't need to stay at Caregiver's place. It is for the fetching and student care etc., to be cared by more conveniently. After that go back to parents' place.
