By no means, I am trying to make parents bash their own kids...and firstly, did I ask parents for opinions if my daughter did well? No. I asked parents if there was anything that my daughter missed out. Just so you know both my kids are different...does not mean one can score 279 and then another will also automatically score 279. I am a strong believer in grades don't matter. I don't scold my kids for getting bad grades ever and believe other parents should not scold either. I am also one of the parents to want to know approximately how much my child score...as a parent, I have that anxiety to know how my child did. Hearing how the Chinese oral prompts is almost way different from the theme in the video, I was just scared that my daughter did not explore other things that the theme 'neighbors'. I honestly really don't care if you think my post serves nothing, because it serves an answer to my question. Don't say anything if you don't have anything nice to say.
What said is said for todayβs oral. This post serves nothing but for some KS parents to bash their own kids for not giving a better answer. I am sure the author knew her dd had aced her oral, given that she has another son in RI who scored 279 last year.
P.S. read my post carefully again...I asked if there was any points my child missed out, not if my daughter aced her oral. And also the parents over here, have their kids as their top priority and they will not bash their kids for not giving a better answer. -

Hi Cool nurse, I just want to say I have been reading your posts silently...and your advice has in fact greatly helped me...In my opinion, I also understand that anxiety after the child's oral...Just don't care about that 'person'. I bet he/she is just jealous of your children's achievements and your GREAT parenting style that you have used to raise such children. That 'person' probably just skimmed through your post without reading what you actually said. To even think that a parent in this forum will bash their kids because of their exam performance is messed up...maybe that 'person' does that to his/her kids...so that is why the unnecessary comments and ranting. I am not trying to spread hate...just felt that such comments should not be directed to a person like Cool nurse, especially when she is so warm hearted and is generous with her advice. To be honest, I would want to be a parent like you...haha...ghibli76\" post_id=\"1990814\" time=\"1597324700\" user_id=\"12219:By no means, I am trying to make parents bash their own kids...and firstly, did I ask parents for opinions if my daughter did well? I think we sometimes need to be a bit more sensitive to those with children who didnβt perform as well.
There will be some parents out there whose child barely managed to think of anything to say so reading a long list of what someone else said from a parent worrying about what she may have missed, could be quite upsetting. -

Excuse me, I did not register a new account because I don't have two email addresses and if you know, you can't register two accounts with the same email address.

Wow...when you don't admit that you read a post wrongly and accused someone of the wrong thing...is this the thing you resort to? Go check Google, 100 and thousands of people do this, funny that you would call all of them as the same person.

I understand, I will try to refrain from doing so, thank you!π

I actually think what Cool Nurse did is ok,

I enjoyed reading through the list to see how others answered the question. Although I wouldn't do so myself cause I see no reason in asking others if my kid did ok after my kid already gave a long list of good answers
This is Kiasu parents forum, have to be Kiasu a bit lar, to strive to do better by learning from others. There will always be kids better than ours. There is no need to envy, upset or bash ours just because of others doing better. -
"others" as in a child is what I am calling into question. For the purpose of learning, long answers would come across as an impromptu speech rather than an engaging conversation.
