i ever went with a group of pre-schoolers to Bollywood Vegetable Farm somewhere in Choa Chu Kang. it was quite an eye-opening experience and the vegetables that were freshly plucked were very sweet!

I’ve been to Marina Barrage, it such a nice, and in fact a great place to have family and friends there.

          Hi everyone,

What are some of the places in Singapore that parents can bring their children to during the weekends or holidays?

I will state some of my ideas. Hope you guys can share yours too!

          1. Changi Airport
          - New four storey slide at T3 (2 free rides can be redeemed for every $30 spent)
          - Shorter slide at basement 2 of T3 (free)

          - Kid’s Fun Ride at T3

          2. The Zoo/ Night Safari/ Bird park
-Animals to keep the kids entertained!

          3. Kranji Farm Stay
          -Singapore's only Agri-tainment farm
-Go on a farm guided Tour!

we try to avoid Changi Airport - don't want to expose my kid to international viruses, not to mention the expensive carpark.

            Usual handouts -
            1. museums (exhibits change from time to time, some time of the year, like now, it's specially designed for children),
            2. Science Centre

See Hann's blog for more local places:

Qian Hu fish farm is quite fun. $5 for long kang fishing, they’ll give u a free tank and u get to keep the fish u caught. There’s also a fish spa for those who would like to remove dead skin. $10 for fish spa. Please take note that there’s s time limit but I can’t remember how long… There’s also a free shuttle bus to Lot 1

I do not know about forest adventure. What I know is that I am gonna bring my ds for a walk thru Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve. They have guided tour which is free on weekends. But be sure to bring along insect repellent, if you want to consider going there.

This school holidays we are doing something different. We are going to the nature reserves of singapore. We have even signed up ds for a day camp with sungei buloh. Ds is definitely very excited about this trip.
