I was in the wrong thread (P1 2022 intake) and so glad i found this thread for monkeys 😂😁
So i have been toying with the idea to rent within 1km of SJIJ to increase my chances under Phase 2C. I live in Pasir Ris actually. So if i don't get the place in SJIJ in Phase 2C, is it possible to come back to Pasir Ris to go for Park View Primary under Phase 2CS? Park View is within 1km of my current address, though by then it would have changed. -

No you can't do that. Only the address registered in your NRIC before start of registration will be valid.

I thought she can move back home and change back her NRIC address during those few days (usually 1 week?) between the close of Phase 2C and start of Phase 2CS?

Thanks zac's mum and Davischew - so during those few days after the ballot results for 2C, it's a mad scramble to check which schools are avail. And these schools may not even be within 1-2km - which means that my chances are further reduced.
On top of that, i have to deal with the rental lease which suddenly becomes meaningless to me. 🤦

No need to scramble. Farrer Park Primary (or Stamford Primary) for phase 2CS.
Check whether Park View Primary outside 2km still can get in without balloting? If so then still can register using near SJIJ address, and later move back. No 30 month lock in. -
Of course that is the worst case scenario. As a KSP, i would want to know if i can stomach this...🤣

Oh thanks zac's mum - yes that is a possibility. Need to check Park View - actually there is Meridien Pri which is another possibility. So worst case scenario, i lose 1-2 months' deposit on the rental. 👌

Well registration is in July-August. P1 does not start until January.
You can still give 2 months’ notice to your landlord. Don’t need to move out immediately and forfeit deposit. -

SJIJ <1km very high chance so not to worry. Only worry if want to rent for 30 months or just get a property there. Anyway, Park View and Meridian both no ballot for all distance at 2CS.
