Today is my mum’s 1st experience with using the TT token.

She told me TTS Hospital does not accept the token so she had to use IC and handphone to enter. And inside TTSH, she went to Kopitiam Foodcourt to dabao, the Foodcourt also does not recognize the Token so she had to use her HP to scan in!
I think they are only piloting the TT token for entry at cinemas at the moment. Using if for entry to all public places isn't heppening yet - I think they said by end of the year? Let me look for the article.

      ST 20 Oct:
By the end of December, checking in with the TraceTogether app or token will be mandatory at all popular venues, including restaurants, workplaces, schools and shopping malls, as Singapore prepares to enter phase three of its reopening.

It means members of the public will no longer be able to gain entry to these places by scanning SafeEntry QR codes with their phone cameras, or through the SingPass mobile app or barcodes on their NRIC. SafeEntry is the nation's digital check-in system mandated at all these places.

They must instead use either the TraceTogether app or token.

Mandatory use of TraceTogether will start at cinemas, which is among venues with activities that involve larger groups of people.

Can also use the mobile app. I expect a person can have both token and app? I currently have the token, which I keep in my bag which I carry most of the time. But I'm thinking I should also have it on my phone for the times when I don't carry my bag. I actually prefer using a token for most entries as I find it hassle to be fiddling with a phone - somehow I'm not very good at handling a phone, even after so many years!

now I am using the app singpass mobile , these few days i used trace together app- quite fast n responsive, sometimes i just point the phone , no need to capture full QR code and already scanned in - hope fill be this swift n fast even with full roll out.

I just discovered that my neighbourhood Sheng Siong allows TT Safeentry now. Just saw someone use it today.

This is really good. Someone bothered to collated all the sensible perspectives of cooperating with use of token of TraceTogether.

MIL just got used to SafeEntry, now she’s trying hard to relearn using TraceTogether with positive outlook that it’ll keep her safe in the know. We’ve gotta help every elderly to ensure they get a token & put in their bag once out of home.

I have not collected the TT token. Since it has a barcode, i assume we can just show to scan the barcode when using. This would be like scanning our IC.
