Hi everyone, I am new here. I would like to check if any of your kids is planning to go to tkgs? Or does anyone have kids in tkgs and can share more info? Sorry not sure if it’s right to post here as I cannot find any recent post on this topic. Thank you.
Maybe this year we’ll log on with SingPass to collect results? Safest that way, and maybe less stressful.

True, safest this way, don't even need to go back to school. Just login, stare in front of your home PC, will know every single detail of your own PSLE results released.

The only thing is,
if don't collect results from your P6 Form Tr personally by going back to your P6 classroom, may miss out the latest updated 2020 news broadcast announcement by your Principal on the overall performance of P6 candidates cohort, either using zoom technology or via some overhead projector inside your P6 classroom

E.g. percentage of students passed Psle, move onto Sec 1 (2021) or number of students who scored ( 250, or 260 ) and above

This year, don't think they allow parents to enter into the school ground premises. Very strict, because of covid. Probably only let parents drop off their children at the front main gate and let the P6 students walk up to their own classroom themselves , collect results from their class Form Tr.

No likely...
Student will need to collect hardcopy of results and certificate.
so long safety measures are in placed - classroom collection, no intermingle with other classes .
I think it is still possible to go back sch to get hard copies - the feel is better than to be alone looking at comp screen ourselves, kids can also direct enqurie process etc with teachers if need arises.

I think, school may limit, one child and one adult… and stagger the parent with child at different timing to come to school to collect the results…

Pls take note that this year's batch of PSLE kids do not need to report to their secondary school the following working day after receiving the result on the posting of Secondary school. The announcement is on the MOE website. Hope i read correctly.

https://beta.moe.gov.sg/secondary/s1-posting/results/report-to-secondary-school/
The changes is affected by Covid i guess, to prevent large gatherings during the orientation, hear the principal speech, introduction of teachers, buying uniforms, textbooks etc... so these year kids won't get to familiarise the new school compound , feel the environment & meet their future classmates.
Really a memorable year for the P6 yr 2020 cohort, no open hse, collection of results also on their own too & now no secondary sch orientation... sob sob 😞

Sharing this in case some parents are thinking of getting pre-loved CL materials. Just as this year's Pri 6s are the first batch to enjoy the new Pri sch syllabus, they will get to study the new CL syllabus next year in Sec sch too. 😉

This covid year, there are 2 ways of checking your PSLE results

1) go back to school,
collect results from P6 classroom. In past years, usually around 11+ am, P6 Form Teachers start released PSLE results slip and certificate.

Go back to school is more exciting, because you can see your fellow classmates, see your Form Tr and maybe Principal flashed an update on P6 cohort overall Psle statistics via zoom or via overhead projector or announce some vital info, inside your classroom.

2) view online directly from your home PC, using login Sing-pass.

This year, how early can u login to check your Psle Tscore, how many A *, A or B gotten ?

If login 8.30 am online, can see ?

(make sure your login Sing-pass account userid and password, are working properly)

Maybe this year will be a special year where results will be announced online and parents login for their child’s result via SingPass 😜

Nope

https://www.moe.gov.sg/news/press-releases/arrangements-for-the-release-of-results-for-the-2020-national-examinations

7. This year, SEAB has enhanced its systems so that all candidates will also be able to view their examination results online on the day of the respective results release. This can be done via SEAB's results release system on its website (http://www.seab.gov.sg).

5. As PSLE candidates, given their younger age, might need more support, one parent/guardian will be allowed to accompany his/her child/ward to school to collect their results. The parents/guardians would need to wait at the designated common areas in the schools and observe the SMMs implemented, while their child/ward receives the results in the classroom. For the collection of GCE-level examination results, only school candidates will be allowed entry into school premises.
