DS feedback: easy to hard: GA1 = GA2, Math, English..

For math, there are 60 questions (with 15 open ended) to complete within 1 hour 40 mins.. Too many questions with limited time.. We should be proud of those children, coping with tough question and limited time..

My son told me there were 48 questions in the Math test. So there could be more than one math papers?

My DC told me something in 40s for total maths questions.. most of the students had a very tired look after maths.. exhausted

          Hmm... interesting indeed.. Maybe..

If 48 questions, have to do each questions with lightning speed of around 2.08 mins.
If 60 questions, have to do each questions with warp speed of 1.67 mins.

          :yikes:

My dd found that Eng is the easiest, follow by GA2, Maths and GA1 the most difficult. She said the GA1 really not easy. She manage to complete everything except GA1.

Did she share why GA1 was not easy?

Actually, she is very blurr one. She doesn’t even know how many classmate pass gep 1st round. So I ask her she just said she did not understand 6 or 7 question. She never seen the question before. Ask her to give example, she had no clue at all. I also would like to know what so special about this year Eng GA. She is OK with maths and she read alot. But she is not very organized

When will the round 2 result come out? Next week?

If no one pass the round 2 in the same class, kids may not know?

Understand from school letter that the result will be available in early November. All the best!:)

Regardless of if the kids went thru rd 2 anot, they will receive an envelope. Brown | Qualified for GEP, White | Didn’t qualify. However, the letter will be very encouraging. It depends on the school how they want to administer the giving out of the letters. Some call them out in private to distribute it, others give out openly in the class.
                      Thanks very much for sharing!

all the best to every child - the parents should have put in equal or more hard work behind the scene.

A pat on the parents' back too.
