Last Year, PLMGS did not open its Sec 1 to non-affiliate primary students . This year, they will open 20% of their Sec 1 cohort to non affiliates. Any guidance on what TScore would be like for non-affiliates?

I do not know. But just my guess: since this is the first year, not many people will be brave enough to try.

If your girl:
- really likes the school environment, doesn’t mind hearing Christian prayers during assembly
- you live near that area
- makes friends easily & not deterred by any cliques

Just apply, regardless of what T score she has. I’m quite willing to bet that she can get in with no problems. It’s unlikely that they can even fill all 20% of the vacancies.

Just commenting as a 3rd party observer...I was very impressed with the facilities when I visited earlier this year. The school had volunteered their aircon auditorium as a venue to let SSO perform in one of their “SSO goes to the heartlands” performances. So the school compound was open to the public for that evening.

The school mobilized (even though they did not have to) several of their prefects to guide & usher the public to the auditorium. We had a brief glimpse of their huge sheltered basketball court below the auditorium. The prefects were polite & well-mannered. Yet firm, as after the concert they were stationed to block off the public from venturing into the classroom blocks (out of bounds).

So yeah...impressed that they bothered. This was not even their own open house.

It think PL academic is slightly “stronger” , use Chij sji range plus abt 5 or slight more points aS guide .

My daughter had scored 244 and she wants to know which sch is better either PLMGS or Tanjong Katong Girls Sch. Since PLMGS has only 20% for non affliated sch intake, is there a chance that she get in there.

If a person with 240 applies for sch A as first choice and another person with 244 applies for sch A as the second choice, who would get the place assuming that the COP is 241 for this year at that school. Cedar Girls has consistently had a COP of 250, are there any chances for a score of 244 this year. Please guide me.

According to the official MOE SIS website, the cut off point last year for N(A) into PLMGS (non-affiliates) was 173. He can use that as a rough guide (it can fluctuate from year to year):
