SCHOOL SELECTION AND POSTING
Students eligible for secondary school may submit their option forms online via the S1 Internet System (S1-IS) from now until 3pm next Tuesday.
“When choosing a secondary school, parents and students should consider factors such as the secondary schools’ distinctive programmes, co-curricular activities (CCAs), ethos and culture,” MOE and SEAB said.
“Parents and students are encouraged to take the time to explore the schools’ websites, social media pages, as well as take part in their virtual open houses, to find out more about the schools that interest them before selecting the schools.”

i dont think so? in my school, many pupils got 250 and above,, like much more! there were like 20-30 pupils who got 250-259, and then like 15? who got 260-269 and 2 who got 270+!
Is this year T-scores dropped? I didn't hear any 270+. My DS neighbourhood school didn't have many students scoring above 250s (around 5-8 out of 240 students). Just curious!! -

I am interested in the responses to your question. I am also deciding between these 2 schools. My dd1 was from Cedar. She enjoyed her time in Cedar very much. Dd1 was blessed with very good teachers. Cedar and VJ has a nice, comfortable ‘kampong’ feel (my opinion only). Dd2 has a very different personality and interests and I hope to find a good fit for her. Certainly not ruling out Cedar. I watched RGS online open house video. Very impressive campus.kaisuparents\" post_id=\"2003979\" time=\"1606298469\" user_id=\"35019:
Hi All,
My DD got 266. She is deciding between RGS n CEDAR. Any pros/cons, your suggestions/experiences pls.
Thanks.
:offtopic: Cedar’s COP may be 25x. But in my dd1’s cohort, there were no lack of girls scoring 26x and 27x.
At 266, I would not think twice about selecting RGS over Cedar. My elder boy was from VS-VJ, younger boy currently in RI. While VJ is an excellent school in its own right, academically there is still quite a big gap from RI. I’m also biased towards independent schools coz I’m from one myself. And I can see the advantages of being in a school that offers curriculum and experience that is different from the regular schools. -

So basically anyone who qualifies for express or normal academic will be offered? As long as there is no prior language knowledge? Thank you!
Read the section, Admission to the courses, and then estimate from the info written there?hazeline\" post_id=\"2004122\" time=\"1606310957\" user_id=\"18065:
Also, can I ask, if a kid is offered Malay or Arabic/Bahasa Indonesia, any indication of where he stands in the cohort? Read somewhere that 3rd language is offered to top 10%, but I think it is referring to those 3rd language like Jap, Spanish, French etc.

If your niece prefers girls' schools, I would recommend: CHIJ St. Theresa's Convent (238), CHIJ St. Joseph's Convent (237), Paya Lebar Methodist Girls' School (Secondary) (237), Tanjong Katong Girls' School (237), Geylang Methodist School (Secondary) (231).
TIA[/quote]
If your niece prefers co-ed schools, I would recommend: Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Secondary School (238), Presbyterian High School (236), Zhonghua Secondary School (236), Temasek Secondary School (235), Tanjong Katong Secondary School (234), Xinmin Secondary School (234).
Hope this helps!

oh, it will depend on the no. of applicants which will determine if COP is higher / lower than 256? Last year it was 256.
Frankly, that’s an impossible question to answer.horizons1\" post_id=\"2003997\" time=\"1606299680\" user_id=\"188974:
Thanks. Yes, Victoria will be far from our place. NJC and SJI are perhaps the options left for IP.
Any inputs on whether the COP for ACS(I) IB going to be higher or lower than 256 this year?
Just apply and hope for the best. -

Thanks. But VJC is really too far
If affiliation to JC is important, I would pick VS over ACS O or CHS O for its affiliation to VJC,marcolisa\" post_id=\"2004114\" time=\"1606309361\" user_id=\"9017:
Hi Hendon, thanks for the reply. I didnt know much on the other school. I only have a friend DD comment on this. I will check out more on SJI.
I prefer no O-Level, but ok with A-level or IB.
If need O-level, want to find the school can have affliated JC.
location notwithstanding.
Thinking the choices as below
1) RVHS 253
2) Catholic high IP 252
3) ACS I O level 252
4) SJI IB 251
5) Catholic high O level 249
6) Fairfield 243
Or Nan Hua high 246
Considering No O-level, distance from Jurong, affiliation with JC, reputation of school.
Any advice?
