even if students never taken O-level (gao hua), never mind, it is still all right, if they can get at least 10 points. That's the beauty of being affliated, to a good reputable Junior College like Nanyang JC
Suggesting another perspective here, of not giving up on 高华, for these benefits:
        - 2 points from CCA are for those students in “leadership” position. Or represented school. Statistically it’s the minority. Others will get 1 point. Chances are most student will only get 1 point.

        - if student passes O level 高华, they don’t have to take Chinese in JC; 1 subject less and more time for other subjects

        - for student qualified to take O level 高华, that will mean they have 2 O level subjects in 普 and 高华 to choose the one with the better result from, for their L1R5.

CCHM is a good environment to study 高华. We can encourage our kids to give it a good shot

Hi, does anyone know of any private bus contact from Sengkang to Chung Cheng Main?
Hello. CCHMS does not provide school / private buses. Many students travel there by public transport / cars. For public transport, you can take from Sengkang 4 stops to Serangoon, then change to yellow and 5 stops to Dakota. Travelling time shouldn't be long, and my daughter is studying here ( moving on to sec2 next year ). She's very happy! Though she wanted another school she came here cos of her COP. But now she is scoring straight As. Only school in sg to have natural lake and grand auditorium as national monument. Also have gym and many well renovated facilities. People here have strong sense of unity and academics wise, high standard. Got weekly calligraphy and tea appreciation lessons. Hope u choose Chung Cheng Main!

                Hi all,

My child has a score of 248, HC +2. We are torn between AHS and CCH. We stay in Simei, so it takes us 25 mins to get to AHS but an hour to CCH. May I know what’s the estimate % of CCH students who went on to NYJC? The affliation is very attractive to us. But at the same time, distance and travelling time are a bit discouraging. Can experienced parents in CCH share more information regarding the school pls? Thanks.

I am not a CCHM parent but I just wanted to point out that Anglican High is affiliated to SAJC. So unless it is because you prefer ny to sa, otherwise both have an affiliated jc. And if your o level is say 12 (2 a1, 2 a2, 2 b3), minus 4 is 8, you cant go to ny anyway. So the affiliation may not work. 🤷

You could prob ask at the NYJC thread, what proportion of JAE are from CCHM.

Hello, I have a daughter in CCHM going on to sec 2 next year. Last year, she was also torn between AHS and CCHM. We stay near Simei too. We chose CCHM because heard from friends there many move on to NYJC, HCI and RI. From 2019 sec4s in CCHM, 96.3% eligible for JC and 100% eligible for poly 🙂 CCHM produces better results compared to AHS, campus is also much bigger. Now, she is v happy and excelling in academics. AHS and CCHM students pretty much know each other and from what I hear, my daughter said CCHM students are a lot more hardworking. Most of the travelling time is on the mrt. For the good results, affiliation, campus and teachers, I think the travelling is worth it!
