How are students being informed about the result/allocation of 3rd language application? DD received NYGH posting via SMS but no info on 3rd language application. Parent-Gateway only has Sec 1 e-registration but no info on 3rd language application.
Found out the way to check for the result. The correct link to check whether 3rd language application is successful or not is https://www.moelc.moe.edu.sg/moelc-sec1-registration-dec-20/. Enter last 5 characters of BC and search. Click accept to review full details of class and language center allocated.

Hi I’m new to the NYGH family. DD going to sec 1 next year. Heard from my friend that some of you may need school bus service to NYGH. I know of one contact so anyone who needs it can call and check.

Dear Sec one parents. Is it necessary to purchase the e-book for think! Mathematics textbooks? Or hard copies will do?

          Thank you.

Hello! Am a student here, (sec 2 next year), and I feel e-book isn’t necessary! In fact, the teachers will be using the physical book every lesson and will not accept the use of e-book during lessons (but may change with the PDPL next year)! so the e-book is more for at home revision! Hope that helped!

Thanks for the sharing, this info is helpful as I was wondering if I shld purchase the e-books option? So, i just buy the hardcopies will do. But any idea if the school decides to use e-book, can we buy it as an option, just e-book alone? And if u know the cost to it?

Thanks for the information. May I know what is your DD's cca? It's quite a huge amount.. Is it Inforcomm club?

Nope not infocomm. She is in debate. It is expensive because it is a small club. Each batch takes in only 7 to 8. So each member as to shoulder a bigger share of the cost.

Are u referring to CCA Co-payment? May I ask how much do u pay for Debate? Is the fees collection done once a year?

The key is the colour must be ALL-WHITE.

Normal school days: white socks/ shoes
Casual attire for school events/ CCA/ leaving school after CCA: white socks/ white shoes or track shoes

Note: Casual attire days will be informed to students - so dont just anyhow suka suka assume that you are on a casual attire day and turn up in track shoes.

School didn't use any of the e-books in my daughter's class for the last 2 yrs. If u really want to purchase it, the main intent would be for your own use at home. I'd suggest that u either bring back the textbooks or just take a photo of the relevant pages u want for that day rather than buy the ebook.

Gal just joined NYGS… she just invited to join the Whatsapp group for the coming Sec 1 student. Was surprise to find ~ 80% of the participants are from affiliated NYPS. The 2nd big group is from RGPS.

Anyone knows what is the approx percent of the cohort of NYGS are from NYPS? When will they be informed of their new class? Some schools e.g. Chung Cheng, have already informed the students of their classes. Thanks.
