      Hi guys
I read that 2017 has the lowest birth rates in seven years, so that’s good news for us! I’m eyeing St. Andrews junior school but I’m outside 2km. Willing to do PV but I’m wondering what my chances are in 2B even? Anyone has past years’ registration results by distance?
SAJS phase 2B usually ballots >2km

      Balloting history here:

      https://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/article/toa-payoh/

However, whether you can join PV and clock the 40 hours is still uncertain. Some other KSPs posted that PV scheme at SAJS has been put on hold due to this Covid season.

        Hi fellow parents,

Our place is within 1 km to SJIJ (Phase 2B), ACSP and ACSJ (Phase 2C). Initially, it seemed pretty straightforward that we’d go for SJIJ. But as our son grows, we notice how much he enjoys learning Mandarin (language as well as traditional Chinese cultures/classical poems etc), hence beginning to consider enrolling him in a SAP school. We know that the chance for Catholic High (2B), even if we move to Bishan is very slim, so are really keen on Maris Stella.

My question is, would it be feasible for us to apply to Maris Stella under 2B more than 2 km (provided there is even chance to ballot), if balloted out, to go for SJIJ under 2C within 1 km?

Appreciate all your advices and suggestions. Many thanks mommies and daddies!

Yes that's a good plan. Historically MSHS ballots >2km in 2B. Nevertheless, even if unsuccessful, you don't need a SAP school to advance your interest in Chinese.

Actually, it’s not up early. Considering that those who wants to go the GRL or SHHK route would have to start planning this year, likewise those who are aiming for schools with 80hrs PV requirements, the chat is just on-time only.

Happy New Year moms and dads,

Another new year and getting more nervous now. My other question is if we were to use address XXX (within 1 km) to apply to school, in the event we were accepted but decided to move to address YYY (also within 1 km), is it allowed/legal? Appreciate your advise. Thanks!

Yes it is legal, as long as you move within same or better distance.

Hi Parents, I intend to enrol my kid to Teck Ghee Primary school, and we stay within 1km. I am not sure whether I still need to apply to be a parent volunteer in the school. Please advice. Thanks.
