Renewal of maid without agent.. how..pls advice.

Some maids may not want to go back. You will need to pay her the airfare in lieu.
For renewals, renew the insurance first. Thereafter log into the MOM website with your Singpass to apply for the extension. The process is very simple and the instructions self-explanatory. Just call MOM if you need any assistance.
There is maybe 1 or 2 fees to be paid via credit card and once everything approved, they can arrange for the employment pass to be couriered to you. -
Refer also to the various embassy for guidelines on renewal of their passports too. Often there is requirement of a new contract being issued.
However, do be careful of maid who make use of this to get a new passport by saying they want to renew contract. I had experienced it before with the maid asking to leave after 3 months into new contract with a new passport to go elsewhere. -

1. Remember to get the exit permit from the native country before leaving Singapore. For filipino, ensure she has the OEC exit permit so that she can exit phillippines airport. Think same requirement for Indo maid. If not, after she goes back to her native country, she will have problem coming back to Singapore.Hi
Want to check, although bit early.
My maid contract end next May. She wants to continue after. May I know what are the procedures amd things to do.
1. Employer (I) have to buy ticket to send her back then ome back later, right?
2. Do we keep one mth of the salary to play safe..what if she does come back? And return her when she is back.
3. how to renew the EP and contract cos there is no loan..
4. How long normally they go and come back?
Please advice and what other things to look out. Thanks
2. Buy insurance and apply online @ MOM website
3. General Rule of Thumb for HOme Leave = 2 weeks paid leave. Some employers give up till 3 weeks paid leave.
4. Depending on how much you trust your maid. I will on hold $500. -
Is that legal? to hold on to her money when she no longer works in sg? i too wish to know more abt this topic.

Hi everyone,
My FDW's Work Permit is expiring 19 March, she's been with us for 4 years now. I have these questions, if anyone can help?
1. If we're not renewing the contract, does it mean her last day of work with us is 18 March? That's also the date she needs to go back to her home country?
2. If we're mutually agreeable to extend the Work Permit, by 1-3 months, can this be done? How abt the insurance etc, can it be extended by 1-3 months as well?
3. If she chooses to move on to a new employer without going back to her home country first, how do we go about doing the \"transfer\"?
Any feedback, advice etc is much appreciated

The embassy stated Two (2) copies of Standard Employment Contract (Original) –, does that mean I give them the old contract???
What is this?? New contract we don't have wah, so I write out a general one or how? -
the embassy provides the standard contract when doing the renewal
-
The embassy documents for Homebleave process fee are pay by maid or employer? I read somewhere its employer only pay for air ticket and the embassy documents are no obligated by employer to pay (maid shld pay for themselves)
Please advice -
i think its best to get agents to settle everything for you, should you require any legal advice the agents can best advice you…
