      No, different

Nan Hua operate in the same identical manner, as St Nick and Catholic High, but in opposite contrasting manner from Chung Cheng High (Main), although all these 4 schools are SAP.

What's their difference, amongst these SAP schools ?

      Because

Chung Cheng High (Main) Chinese Department is kind, overided all their students HCL eligibility. That is, whether CCHM students received the Moe eligibility letter or no Letter, never mind, is all right, ust let all her Sec 1 students take HCL. This is the decision made, by CCHM School.

But Nan Hua, St Nick, Catholic High ! How do these three SAP schools function? You received from MOE any HCL eligibility letter, or not ?

If Yes, received, good, ok, can proceed to take Sec 1 HCL !

If No, didn't receive, Sorry, one year later, at end of Sec 1, come back, see me again with your overall Sec 1 results (report card).

      Different schools :
different stroke, in how they want to handle HCL
      I see, thank you.

Hi, we are considering Nan Hua High School as a DSA option for my son, as it has the cca that he is able to offer as a talent. It is also located nearby. However, because it is a SAP school, it states in their DSA requirements that Higher Chinese (HCL) at PSLE is preferred. My son does not take HCL at psle and CL is one of his weaker subjects. Is HCL /CL very important for Nan Hua DSA offer ? Because if based on past experience, if his chance of getting an offer is low …then perhaps it is better to look at other schools. Any input from parents with any info , I would be v grateful. Thanks

As it is a sap school, being strong in Chinese will definitely help him.
