Comparing English Enrichment Programmes

HI PARENT,

I need some advise, currently my DD is with MY English enrichment, she will be P6 next year,but I found out her English was very poor, after 1.5 years with my English,
kindly advise should I change her tuition to another center? will it be too late to change or I just stay the same tuition centre?

i'm thinking enroll her to Morris Allen or write@work, or The write connection may I know is there any more tuition centre more suitable for primary 6 ?

kindly comment the above 3 tuition centre which one more suitable?

You can check her SA2 papers to find out her weak areas.

It will be useful if you can speak to her English school teacher to seek her advice. Try dropping the teacher an email for her to call you back.

You can go for trial lesson at some tuition centers before deciding. But it may be more suitable for her to go for one-to-one or small group tuition.

I agree... A one on one might be more helpful so your girl can get more attention. Find out where her weak areas are and find someone who can help those. As she gets better she will gain a confidence boost that she can do it.

I would like to recommend ds English tutor. She is a very bubbly teacher. She is able to teach creative writing, paper 2 and oral. I find that it is very rare for tutor to be able to teach writing and paper 2. Most of them teach only paper 2.


But this tutor is very strong in Paper 1 as she taught in a writing school before.

They do a compo every week. Teacher will brainstorm with students and write down the discussion. Then they will write a full compo. Homework is to copy the model compo and learn the spelling of the phrases from the compo.

Anyone has reviews to share for TLL English enrichment @ Marine Parade branch for current K2 level? DS doesn’t have much trouble for presentation show&tell skills but I think needs improvement for writing spelling skills. I heard that most of the better Teachers are located @ United Sq branch though, not sure how true?
