To dsa through theatre, maybe the student could have taken up Drama (acting) Cca before, in Sec (1 to 4)

Should students in IP school (now in on-demand O class) dsa into the same/affiliated IP school via sports? Will the affiliated IPJC consider the application? Anyone has prior experience?

Well, nothing can stop the student from applying for dsa in her IP4 year (now in O level demand class), back into the same IP JC, if the student want to.

But more importantly the qn is,
will the IP JC prefer to still take her in via DSA, knowing her background in full detail for the past 3.5 years inside the school, and this student is an IP drop-out, or prefer to take some one else totally new, afresh from the O-level exam, & who have been able to meet the school's COP ?
Only the school has the answer

Another possible answer, school can reply the student is, after taken O level (inside the on demand O level class), ask student to apply through the JAE way using L1R5, by meeting the cut off point, as what all other O level students do, not through DSA path anymore

I have seen such students dsa sports successfully into VJC or DHS but they are non-affiliated to these students IP schools. So I am trying to see if there’s anyone successfully dsa sports into its own affiliated IPJC.

Hello parents. I am wondering if any parent can share their experience on DSA for JC under Leadership. Heard only Head Prefects are selected. Is it worth the time and effort to try or chances are very slim. What does the school look for? Looking at SJI and ACSI. :thankyou:

Not necessary. My DD dsa’ed via leadership to HCI even though she was not Head Prefect.

Thank you K-Mum. Can you share the profile of students that these school look for for Leadership DSA? My DD is Chairman of her CCA and Exco prefect lead for School Welfare. Done community services and volunteer at several charities. But some no certs given. Wondering if these are enough?

Err, I do not really know since I do not know the profiles of others that got in.
My DD’s profile quite similar - Student Council EXCO member, leadership position in a uniform group and other stuff.
My view (may not be true) is that the profile is only used to shortlist the candidates for interview. Performance in the interview is prob the most important criteria for selection cos I presume most of those they shortlist hv quite similar profiles.
Leadership assessment is more holistic, unlike sports or academic where u gets medals, certs and rankings.
