All About Parent Volunteers (PV)

Hi, I was also called for an interview at Rulang… Goodness me, feel like giving up this PV appln.


Need to fill up a very "interesting" form, what thrusts and the contributions to be based on these thrusts etc… Really don’t know what to write and what to contribute.

PV is no longer just doing miscellaneous roles, kaypo here and there.

More siong that going for job interview.

Any one has thots on this?

I heard that the interview for Rulang is nerve wrecking. Not only do you have to fill up forms but also be interviewed by a panel from the school...don't have exact details but this was wat I heard from a friend.
This is before getting into the school...another level of stress after getting into the school.

Yes, understand from the email that I rec. Really wanted to forget about it, but decided to just give it a try. Afterall, the possiblity of getting selected is only 20%. There are about 250 appln for this year and they only select 50 PVs. If not selected, will just go for SQ since my hubby is an ex-student there, good chance to get in there.

WIll be going for the interview next week.. let's see how..

Are the others schools PV selection process as difficult as Rulang? Any one care to share?

Rulang takes in 50 PVs…at Phase 2B, is it able to take in all of them ?
Why don’t you go for your hubby’s former school, since all mummies told me Phase 2A2 is confirmed. Not only is it confirmed, you don’t have to do PV and register under Phase 2B which is subject to balloting.

every school is different

some just ask 'can you do this duty' for one year ?

so if you can, there you get it and start liao

Well, heard more about the achievement about Rulang. Moreover, my hubby does not have good impressions of his ex-school... ha ha.

if you can get accepted for Rulang PV, why not ? !!

I have applied to be a PV in school A last year but the school did not start their selection process. Then subsequently, I applied to be a PV in school B and was selected. I have in fact started volunteering my service in school B. Now, school A calls me up for an interview. Can I be PV in 2 schools and decide which school to apply later on? Thanks in advance.
