Thanks, I will be trying for 2B, but that's not guaranteed. Some schools also needs to ballot for 2B. Any good schools easier to get PV for 2B?

Also, any recommendations for co-ed primary schools?
      Every school, a good school.

If you are asking, any popular schools easier to get PV for PR? Answer is no. Most popular schools will not accept PV from PR knowing that they wouldn’t stand a chance if it comes to balloting.

Your best hope if you are trying for 2B is via GRL. At least if school A don’t work out, you can still switch to school B or C.

GRL got quota for PR and normally is quite limited. they also give priority to convert SC to executive member first. So just study well and way in advance the deadline.

          Hi,

Currently considering between the options for my boy entering primary school in 2023.

Wanted to seek opinions as newbie to this.

          Option 1: (2A2) Poi Ching Primary (7km)

          Option 2: (2C) Punggol green(400m) or Punggol View(600m)primary

Wonder shld I wait to go for ballot in 2C for option 2 or go for option 1?

          Thanks!

            Hi everyone,

I’m in a huge dilemma and need some help.

My son will be entering P1 in 2022. We are trying to decide between St. Stephen’s Primary School and St. Gabriel’s Primary school.

One to consider would be, my daughter will be P1 when my son is in P6 and we have already decided on sending her to CHIJ Katong Primary.

In your opinion, logistics wise, which would make more sense? Which school is better for my son? Academic wise, culture wise.

            I am very torn.

If I were to be in your position, I personally would much prefer St Stephen's. It is nearer to CHIJ Katong and is affiliated to SJI.

                Depend on where u stay.

If u stay east, choose St Stephen primary, has affliation to St Joseph institution (Secondary)

If u stay Serangoon or Hougang, choose St Gabriel primary. St Gabriel Secondary, has affliation to Catholic Junior college

A is in Siglap. B is in Serangoon.
A is affiliated to SJI. B is affiliated to St Gab.
SJI has a COP of 238 for affiliated students. B has a COP of 189 for affiliated students.

Frankly, I don't understand why anyone would be torn between the two as the differences between them are pretty significant. Just choose the one most convenient to you.

A is also affiliated to St Pats which is in the same area as A and as KC.

Yeah I’m aware of the affiliations but I was wondering also about which primary school is better?

I would take option 2 as 7km is really quite far
