Nice, NSG is not updating their site. It's got nothing for 2021

In the light of the increasing number of coronavirus cases in the community, the Ministry of Health announced yesterday that the start of the National School Games (NSG), originally slated for next month, will be postponed.

It added that the Ministry of Education (MOE) will \"review again the type of sports to resume and in what format, to ensure that games can be conducted meaningfully but safely for our students\", with more details to be released at a later date.

      https://www.straitstimes.com/sport/schools/start-of-national-school-games-put-off-over-rise-in-community-cases

Unless the vaccine is 60-70% distributed , I don't see the NSG going ahead this year
It would be disappointing to the gals but that is the way it is

          Hi, all:

My girl entered RGS this year.
In the primary, I clearly knew her academic status & could guide her up to PSLE.
However, now, I am puzzled about her academic. Is it enough only based on homework? Does the extra tuition necessary, or some extra test papers for exams? I saw her quite busy all days but seems not many academic efforts.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Tuitions are not necessary if your girl is self motivated and disciplined enough to do all her homework and supplementary work and clarify any doubts she has with the teachers. There are quite a lot of exam papers available on inet that they can do. Not aware of any extra test papers or assessments books you can buy that caters to their curriculum which is quite different from the mainstream

Any parents has insight on the average % of girls who has to drop to do normal chinese each year?

I know the criteria to continue with hcl is to pass the EOY paper, just not sure how that translates to the drop out rate

                  Thanks

Not from inet but usually teachers will go through in class after they complete their work.

How many hours of sleep do your girls get during weekdays?

Since the start of year 3, I think mine could only sleep 5.30-6 hours max each day.
