      Jav:
What happen if both mother and father NRIC address is different? Which one they should reference at?

Thought somewhere that they say will use the father address...although there remains some explanation to be done.

okay, I just went through moe web, never say. But if parents are separated (therefore different address), it would make sense that the address belonging to whoever has custody of the child prevails.

Thanks, hquek. How should I put it yeah? We kind of staying half of our time with my mother and also spend another half at our own home, ie. weekends. Distance is not very far away, but then the school distance is critical lah. So, my IC is still at my mum’s place but my husband’s one is at our place. How?

For your info, we must bring father's original NRIC and there's a form we have to fill up under father's name and address and the authorise person in the form mentioned ,the registration person (mostly mother's name )to be filled in too. 😄

Through my experience, we must filled up the forms fast and accurate as they will called your queued number to go into the General Office for registration through their computers. That is the time they asked for my husband original NRIC and the forms that we had filled up.

My hands feels numbed at that moment that I can't hardly write properly ,your brain like jammed when filling up the forms especially at that moments you see a lot of parents keep coming in and the staffs calling quite a fast pace of the queued number. :?: :nailbite:

If the parents are divorced, it's understood that address shown on their ICs will be different. But what is the reason that both parents have to show ICs at time of registration ??

              sc88,
My fingers were numb when we registered son for P1 then...told hubby I can't fill up the form and he better fill up in case I wrote something wrong out of nervousness. Stress just filling up forms :?:

                Really stressed right? Janet.Yap. Yap.

I'm not sure how the school will keyed in according to which NRIC if the parents are divorced. :? But what I understand there's always a part to be ticked under married, divorced etc.

                  sc88,

If both parents are still married to each other, I just wonder why the addresses shown on the IC are different. Also what is the purpose of producing IC when the computer system has all the precise details.

My hands tremble and brain is jammed when I have to fill in important documents :stupid: Really dumb of me. :x That atmosphere is very intensive...crowded, school admin staff walking about etc etc.

No real life experience yet. I would say by 2.30pm, can call to check liao...or better still, station there to ask them directly.

Yap, that is what I thought but many advise that there is no need for me to apply so many days of leave. Or should I apply on the 3rd day then, would that be very risky???

I don't think we have the mood to work . Keep looking at the latest Schools vacancies through our website if we have the time when at work. :nailbite: 🙏 :x 😢 :xedfingers:

Better to takes three days off if possible through my past experience.

                      optimus/sc88,

I monitored TV text like a hawk then…like those people monitoring shares. Guess parents will be very worried about the registration sessions twice a day for those 3 days. Once you know you got a place in the school, that feeling is like striking 4D.

                        Janet

As before they got married both have different address then. Maybe they already make their future plan to make use of this addresses for registration purposes (Within 1km) .Not willing to change to their new wed house address as it is not compulsory to give up your old address when married, right :? unless we want to change at the neighbourhood police station as and when we like.

There's no law I think that we have to change to our new wed address ,Right? :?
