I still cannot understand Bubble tea .
It costs a meal or more (Normal plate of rice)
And what are the benefits ?
Same for me - I can't understand it either. I've tried some, and I find them generally too sweet and cold. My go-to pick-me-up is still a cup of hot tea (Lipton's Yellow Label is my regular brand) with milk, no sugar. At about $5+ for 100 bags, each used to make 2 cups of tea, that's a whole lot cheaper too! [Of course, it could be that I'm at least a decade older than most bubble tea drinkers...]

I looooove bubble tea - it’s fragrant, sweet and has that fantastic chewy texture in the pearls/jelly too. Unfortunately it’s way too unhealthy & fattening, so I only indulge probably 1-2x a year max. DS only gets the Boba brown sugar milk (no caffeine) as a rare reward once in a blue moon. We won’t die without BBT, don’t really crave for it either.

Our curiosity is piqued by the new Boba pearls + marshmallows pizza by Pizza Hut though…is it any good?

i like dolce gusto Capsules (weekly) - Starbucks is about $1+ per capsule. Normal nice smooth coffee also near a dollar.
Drinking owl brand black or International roast too for daily - can control own sugar

so far, i think liho bbt is cheap and not so sweet , the student rate is $2 only. may drink once in a few months /quarter

mp, I just ordered k offee on promo with free mug fm Qxx this morning…I usually dont like 3in1. Now that I m trying still have those ‘creamer’ taste but not as much…sweetness still can as I put alot of water. Can slowly drink till late morning for that 1 mug haha… value for money and get enough caffeine kick.

Yes bbt no good tho we drink more now. We try to control…keep in fridge and take sips dd and I share… usually lowest sugar level or no sugar if for my consume only.

Slmkhoo…yes ridiculous pricing…dd did try google make own milk tea using teabags. I bought matcha powder for her to try too.

I made an earl grey cake with tea leaves once…I wanted to try make another one … plan held up for few weeks already coz abit lazy…only I eat.

I'm boring about food - for me, tea is to be drunk; cake is cake. Not sure about mixing the 2!

I'm not tired of food, just not very interested. I don't really mind eating the same few things over and over. So I spend the minimum amount of time thinking about food. What stresses me is when I'm asked to arrange for a meal for others, because I know that most people have higher standards than I do!

That was me in JC! It was the stall with the shortest queue. Now, I make a salad on Monday enough for 3 lunches, and eat that Mon-Wed or Thurs (sometimes I will have a lunch appointment, so eat out). It doesn't bother me that I eat the same lunch for 3 days in a row. Other weekday lunches will be a sandwich and fruit. Dinners are stews (varied ingredients because I take pity on the family) and rice.
