Take about playtime during recess, my P5 boy just shared with me the school is rotating 2 classes per recess for playtime after their meals. No games like catching but they allowed some sports games like volley ball, provided they eat fast enough. My boy was grumbling not enough time to play at all. Well, I told him he should be thankful that at least the school allows some activities during recess.

Seems like this only applicable to upper pri. My lower pri boy said nothing for his class so far.

The new traffic light serving the cars turning from Clemenceau Avenue North out onto Newton Circus is up & running.

Thank u so much to whichever parent/resident who requested/lobbied for this. It makes turning out so much easier now (and reduces the bottleneck during school peak hours).

Hi I was downloading the 2021 prelim papers and noticed something strange:

In previous years, ACSJ and ACSP shared a common prelim paper. But in 2021, the 2 school had separate exam papers.

Anyone have any comments on the difference between the 2 schools’ papers? Can I assume that (as per the P1-P5 trend) ACSP papers are more difficult than ACSJ?

Also, any insiders from JS know why the school suddenly decided not to have the same paper as PS?

One possible reason could be the results disparity from having the same exam paper. It could be one school has strong academics than the other, so they want to pitch at appropriate levels.

I understand what U mean. All along JS parents know that their sons would have to buck up by P6 to be on par with PS’ standard, since the prelim was jointly-set (to a higher standard I presumed).

Therefore I was surprised that they deviated from the usual this year. Is it to make the JS prelim results look better/less demoralizing for the boys? :?
