Documents for using the address of a resale property
Hi Everyone
Iโm New to this forum
I am purchasing an apartment (near sch) but it is currently tenanted till after P1 registration. Tenant is not willing to cut short his lease.
Does this mean I cannot use this apartment as my registration address ? Even though I will be moving in few months after jul. (Tenanted till oct).
You will need to provide one of these documents to the school via email:
An exercised Option-To-Purchase and buyer's stamp duty certificate for private resale property.
A printout of Resale Flat Status from HDB Resale Portal, if applicable.
Note: You must move into the registered resale property by 2 January of your child's P1 admission year. -
Thank you @floppy

Not too sure how wll it goes for next year registration, and also not sure whether should we do PV.
Last year Indeed ballot <1km in 2C, most years did ballot <1km.girlruhi\" post_id=\"2015541\" time=\"1613961736\" user_id=\"176851:
Hi All,
Would like to ask some opinions. We are SC, staying within 1 km for Kuo Chuan. Are thinking whether do we need to do PV as last year p1 registration for Kuo Chuan requires balloting for <1km at phase 2C?
Thank you! -
any parent successfully get a PV in the school they wanted to register? i applied a few PV and all got rejected. Now I am lost.

I think a lot depends on the school, or more specifically, the popularity of the school, that one is applying to.

If you are applying to very popular schools, the probability of being rejected is higher than the success rate, since number of applicants >> number of places available. For better chances, you may want to consider schools that are closer (< 1km) from your place. -
<1km no need PV can go in
all the schools i applied is 1-2km for my PV application. I wonder since covid, will school cancel PV and hv more quota for 2C. -

If that's the case, you aren't really lost. You still have plenty of options, but maybe not at your choice schools.

I doubt Covid and Phase 2B will have a major impact on Phase 2C. Phase 1 and Phase 2A are usually the two major phases that take away most of the seats from Phase 2B / 2C. -
i have bought new condo in Tampines ( The Treasure) my option for 2C will be school <1km. Which is
-Chong Zheng
-Jun Yuan
-Tampines Primary
-Yumin
1-2km, I have plenty of good schools.
-St Hilda
-Red Swastika
-Gong Shang
-Poi Ching
-Yu Neng
If you were i, what is the strategy you will go for? -

And also to piggyback on what floppy mentioned, 2B also includes (active) Grassroots leaders as well.

So there will still be vacancies taken up by these GRLs even if the number of school based PVs reduces. -

Given that you stand next to zero chance for the 1-2km schools that you have listed, there is no point to think about them anymore.

Right now, you only have the following schools to choose from:
-Chong Zheng - ballot for SC < 1km
-Jun Yuan - ballot for SC > 2km
-Tampines Primary - ballot for SC 1-2km
-Yumin - safe
Only Chongzheng requires balloting for SC < 1km. If you decide to go for that, Yumin will be your backup for Phase 2CS. If you are worried about balloting (will be good to wait and see the actual numbers), you can go for Junyuan or Tampines. Ultimately, it's really your decision and your preference.
