Hi, I'm wondering is there any Malays or Muslims students in the school?

Hi BroAsh. I am not sure for Year 1 but I think there are 4 Malay Muslim boys in Y2. In Y3 there are 2 and my son is one of them.

The 4 Malay Muslim boys in Y2 are however taking Chinese as 2nd Language while only 1 in Y3 is taking Chinese as 2nd language.

I am a parent with my 1st child taking PSLE this yr. So basically have very little knowledge abt DSA , school selection ect.
My child express interest in NUSH .And here i am exploring what are the changes of getting shortlisted to this school.

My child :
- Has been scoring average above 90 for all subject consistently .
- Had participated in Math Olympiads but did not won any medals
- Had participated in Science Buskers competition - Not 1st 3 spots

Pls share your experiences. Hoped to make informed decision. Thank you so much.

I think you can also visit the schools website ( link below) for the E-open house and rewatch the live chats that was conducted last year for the 2020 DSA batch. The school leaders answered quite a lot of questions on DSA.

If your child get into NUSH - the ‘sky’ is the limit.

There are many that enter Top notch university with Scholarships.
In the local University - many University scholarships await them with no bonds.

[National Science Challenge 2020 Grand Finals]


The Grand Finals will be broadcast on 30 March 2021, 730pm on Channel 5, and on MeWATCH as well (mewatch.sg/NSC).

It will feature NUS High, RVHS and RI.

23 March was the 3rd semi-finals where RVHS won and was able to proceed to the Grand Finals on 30 March next week.

Actually the semi-final Episode that aired yesterday was recorded way back somewhere in end Jan 2021..
