Best school? In KSP top chart is Nanyang Primary! Maybe that is the best! 😢

even then, it is very largely subjective, depending on parents' different measuring yardstick and criteria

Wow, it's really hard to advise you on the BEST school. To be fair, there are several GOOD schools all over Singapore. All the best in your search.

One of the best ways to determine if a school is good is to go to this site's P1 Registration School Balloting History: http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/singapore-primary-1-registration-school-balloting-history and pick out the ones that are popular. While popularity does not necessarily equate good, it is certainly an indicator.

But as others have said, what constitutes a good school differs from one to another, depending on your criteria. Distance between home and school, past students' PSLE results, single-session or not, single-gender or not, mission-aided or not, GEP, chances of enrolling in the school, excellence in certain ECAs... are just some of the many criteria that a parent uses to judge if the school is right for his/her child.

Read up as much as you can and talk to as many people as you can, and you should be able to pinpoint the one that you think is best for your child. Good luck on your journey! 😄

SJI Jnr of course because of the affiliation with ST. JOSEPH'S INSTITUTION.

                        Hi,

I hope this is the right place to post. I'm outside 2km for both schools.
                        SAJS - Phase 2A
                        ACSJ - Phase 2B

I think ACS is stronger academically and I also get the impression that the teachers may be better. But it'll be harder for my son to get in. I don't know if I'm looking at it too narrowly to be focusing mainly on academics.

My son's very playful - are the teachers patient and dedicated? How is the traffic situation like during the rush hours for both schools?

Any views and advice is appreciated!
If I were you, I will definitely go for ACSJ which i feel is more reputable.
