      Hi I am new here...

Would like to seek advise...Sengkang rivervale pri and Northspring pri are <1km from my current place but my first choice is Fairfield Methodist and need to move house <1km from Fairfield. All 3 are phase 2C for me. Understand Sengkang Rivervale & Fairfield need to ballot for phase 2C.....appreciate your advise which 1 I should register first? headache ...
Firstly, you got enough time to find, decide and purchase the house before start of P1 registration??? Unless you have already started looking or very chin-chai, any house within 1km also can, I highly doubt so. Even rental, as suggested by zac’s mum, is gonna be a challenge.

Secondly, the 3 choices are mutually exclusive and you only get to choose one for Phase 2C. These schools won’t have any places left for Phase 2Cs so you need to start considering another set of schools as back up (or just accept whatever option you are left with).

SK and Rivervale would be the most obvious choice since there isn’t a need to move house and you will have a number of options for Phase 2Cs (likely to be within 2km as well).

          Dear Parents ,

I'll need your help and guidance. We will register our 1st child (SPR ) for incoming Y2022 P1 registration exercise,
we are under Phase 2C. We stay woodland near to vista point area and want to choose the nearest school from our house but seem our preferred school below has balloting this few years . How should I narrowing my choices if we cant get the preferred school under 1&2 ? Any suggestion or review for the school as alternative ?

          1)Woodgrove Primary (<1 KM) -Balloting
          2) Woodland Primary (<1KM) -Balloting
          >Woodland Ring Primary (<1KM)
          >Si Ling Primary (<1 KM)
          >Greenwood Primary (>1KM)
          >Fu Chun Primary (>1KM)

Looking for your advise ,Thanks 😄

Any of the schools listed above are viable back ups. I don’t think review would help because in Phase 2CS (assuming you did not get the school you want in Phase 2C), you should pick the nearest schools and try to avoid balloting.

              Dear parents,

Our 1st child is SPR. So we are under Phase 2C. We will move to woodland and want to choose the nearest school from our house. As checked, our house location is 1-2 mins walking distance to innova primary and 3 mins walk to woodgrove Primary. So can anyone advice me that among of these 2 schools which school would have more chance to get in?

              Looking for your advise.
              Thanks

                1. Don’t tell us how long it takes to walk to school. It’s immaterial for Primary school registration. Instead, use OneMap to calculate distance (<1km, 1-2km, > 2km).
                2. SC will be balloting for Innova, therefore, no chance for SPR. Woodgrove typically ballots SPR < 1km which means you will need a back plan if you are under 1km and intend to try for this school.

You can consider Si Ling Primary School. It’s within the same neighborhood as the other 2 schools. PR will be able to get in at phase 2C no problem.

Hi all, would like to seek advise for primary schools in Admiralty/Woodlands area.

My current choices are Riverside pri and Admiralty pri. My child will be registering under phase 2C. We live within 1km for both schools. However base on the ballot history, both requires balloting for 2C (SC living within 1KM)… Wondering if anyone has any feedback on either schools and also their school based student cares? Thanks in adv!

                        take note

                        This year,
a number of primary schools have merged.
So, try to avoid balloting in Phase 2C if can,
                        because
some schools no longer exist anymore, under 2C Supplementary.

                        Example

If you are thinking of balloting for the highly popular, highly sought after \" in demand \" Catholic High primary under Phase 2C and if unluckily fail to ballot in, Guangyang is your backup school under 2C Supplementary Phase -

Guangyang xiao xue now has merged with Townsville.

So, if you stay in Bishan, even if u are considering Guangyang as a back up school under 2C Supp, no more Guangyang anymore !

                        Because

                        Guangyang,
after merged with Townsville primary -

Townsville become the new site merged school.

                        But then,
                        Townsville
fall under Ang Mo Kio area, not under Bishan anymore. In fact, this will benefit Ang Mo Kuo residents more, after merging -

                        means that

Townsville now has more seats than past years before. These extra seats come from Guangyang ?
