Opera Estate Primary School would be under Bedok district for P1 registration.

Do note that OEPS is extremely popular among PR. So last year MOE introduced a cap on vacancies for PRs at OEPS. Any surplus applications would be subject to balloting (according to distance). Read more here:

For this year’s P1 registration, MOE will only announce the finalized vacancies and/or cap in June 2021.

2020 phase 2C: Dotted yellow means balloting occurred for PRs living 1-2km.

Considering the SG50 boom, you’d probably want to monitor how many vacancies are available for PRs this year. There may be balloting for <1km.

If u want a safer bet, go for Telok Kurau Primary.

Impact from school mergers? OEPS won’t be directly affected. From 2023 onwards Eunos Primary will be subsumed into Telok Kurau Primary, but still there would be plenty of places in the merged school for PRs. Maybe PRs may flock to Telok Kurau if they want to avoid balloting.

Don’t apply to Eunos Primary since u know it’ll be closing down & migrating in the next few years.

I did not comment on the enrolment of new students.

But it is nice of you to highlight for everyone’s benefit that while it will only merge in 2023, it is not taking in new students for 2022 pri 1.

For the Dragon babies, the 3 schools that balloted >2km for 2A1 were:

- CHIJ St Nicholas Girls’
- Catholic High
- Henry Park

Last year (2020 registration for 2021 intake), the 4 schools that balloted >2km for 2A1 were:
- CHIJ St. Nicholas’ Girls
- Pei Hwa Presbyterian Primary
- Nanhua Primary
- Rosyth

SG50 and SG51 batch?
