Community cases rising very rapidly. Contact tracing shows many shopping Centres & food places were visited, I’m sure public tpt cld be mode hence covid viruses spreading faster.

      Do stay safe.

I dont understand why we are in this mess. We did very well with no or a couple of community cases for months. We follow rules ie using TT token, SafeEntry & Temp Check, we wear a mask, we get vaccinated etc.

For bz viability, we’ve to open for bz travelers & those with kids studying in SG or LTVP (which is now barred). That’s before mutated strains fr Brazil, Italy , Britain & India before their nation gotten serious medical breakdown & u know their big population & many who don’t buy/wear masks.

Even now, some will be allowed on a case-by-case basis for compassionate situation. Alr, with effect fr today, those visiting Lucky Plaza or Peninsula a Plaza will revert to odd & even number entry & WFH practices. Hope situation will not escalate to a serious state to hv to revert kids on HBL. It’s tough for kids & parents. Maybe then, helpers will be asked to stay home on rest days again.
Many countries started blocking travellers fr India & hopping transit to neighboring countries before reaching SG as their target.

Think if we continue to be vigilant & I'm really hoping there’ll be reduced crowd at Shopping Centres & restaurants. I see many not wearing masks properly & crowds moving in very close tight spaces. So, even tho it’s inconvenient for family gathering or celebration (forthcoming Hari Raya & Mother’s Day), we shld all regain our vigilance so as to stop the virus spread. We can do it with some sacrifice, for the long term gain. Any carelessness with one & many may compromise our elderlies & those with more vulnerable health might also burden our medical care frontliners.

      Stay safe!

Most of the community cases are linked, so haven’t reached that scary stage yet.

Last time we had like 60-70 new cases per day and mostly unliked. Now we only have 2 clusters, TTSH and ICA. ICA cluster seems contained, left TTSH cluster and the cases may still continue to climb.

For TTSH, I think the biggest problem is, all the patients aren’t wearing masks while lying down on the hospital beds. Sigh...

Case 62717, a 89yo woman who was warded at TTSH between 7th April to 21st April.

The TTSH Filipino nurse started showing symptoms and was tested positive on 27th April.

How can the nurse pass the virus to patient (case 62717) who discharged on 21st April, which is like one week before she started having symptoms? Or the index patient was someone else and the spread started way before 21st April !?

Sadly, not everybody is behaving socially responsible.[/quote]Agree. I've seen quite a bit of careless behaviour. And although having vaccines means fewer cases and less severe cases, it also means it's harder to tell who may be transmitting the virus (esp. asymptomatic cases).

Hiaz! With the hot weather, ppl tend to crowd into malls with cool shopping atmosphere. At GBB, it was very much less ppl & safer for MIL to visit & get her exercise. Y’day was still so crowded at VivoCity, we shld avoid going there but coz our usual is dinner & grocery at NTUC. But NTUC VivoCity was closed due to covid contact tracing. Ended up going to Bt Merah which is much less crowded.

No point in covid rules -
If visitors in hospital can take off mask for food & drinks.

Why should hospital \"visitors\" be allowed eating / drinking, inside the hospital ward ?
